In Heartopia, the Resident Request Office isn’t a physical building you walk to — it’s a central progression hub embedded in the game’s UI. It’s one of the most important systems for advancing your D.G. (Developer’s Guild) Membership, unlocking features like hobbies, home plots, quality‑of‑life upgrades, and more.
The system gives you Daily and Weekly Requests that reward Contribution Medals, Gold, and Wishing Stars — and reliably completing these requests is key to efficient progression.
1. How to Unlock the Resident Request System
The Resident Request Office becomes available early in the game via the main storyline. If the UI isn’t accessible yet, you need to continue with story quests with NPCs like Bob and Mayor Atara.
Once unlocked, simply open your Watch/Quest Journal and navigate to the Daily/Weekly Requests tab. Look for a calendar or memo icon near the top‑left of your screen to open this request menu — daily and weekly requests are all listed there.
Weekly Requests only appear after you reach D.G. Member Level 13 (they won’t show up at lower ranks).
2. How Daily Requests Work
- You get up to 5 Daily Resident Requests every day.
- These typically involve simple town tasks like gathering items, catching fish, collecting materials, or delivering items to NPCs.
- You must accept each request in the quest menu — once accepted, you can track their progress via the Resident Request tab.
- Daily Reset: Daily Requests reset at around 6:00 AM server time each day. If you don’t complete them before the reset, they disappear and cannot be repeated until the next day.
Rewards per Daily Request
- Contribution Medals x 10
- Gold x1000 – 3000 (depends on request)
- Wishing Stars x5
Completing all 5 requests each day maximizes your medal gain (50 medals total), which speeds up your D.G. level progression.
Daily Request Rotation
Step 1 — Open the Quest UI After Reset
Daily Resident Requests reset around 6 AM server time — as soon as the new day begins:
- Tap the calendar/memo icon near your minimap to open the Quest Journal.
- Switch to the Daily Requests tab to view the list of today’s tasks.
Step 2 — Review and Accept Up to 5 Requests
You’ll see up to 5 Daily Requests — you can accept all of them or choose selectively if some overlap:
Example Daily Request tasks:
- “Water 5 crops” — tend to your garden plots or newly planted crops.
- “Catch 3 Fish” — use your fishing rod at any fishing spot to catch fish.
- “Say hello to a neighbor” — interact with NPC residents around town.
- “Cook 1 dish” — prepare any cooked recipe at your stove.
- “Harvest 5 Wheat” — pick fully grown wheat from your garden plots.
Step 3 — Track Tasks in HUD
Tap Track on each accepted request: This adds icons to the left side of your screen showing your progress (e.g., 0/3 fish caught). It helps you see which tasks you’ve completed and which you still need to do as you work through your day.
Step 4 — Complete the Tasks Efficiently
Plan your play so you complete tasks as part of your normal activities:
Foraging & Gardening
- Water 5 crops → Go to your garden and water wilted crops or newly planted seeds.
- Harvest 5 Wheat → Visit your garden plots and pick mature wheat.
- Often, these can be done together if multiple garden‑related requests appear.
Fishing
- Catch 3 Fish → Head to a river, lake, or shoreline fishing spot.
- Catch extra fish while completing this task, so you’re stocked for future days.
NPC Interaction
- Say hello to a neighbor → Talk to any town NPC; often neighbors near the Town square count.
- Combine this with delivery tasks if they appear.
Hobbies & Crafts
-
Cook 1 dish → Use your unlocked stove to make a meal (even simple dishes like House Salad).
Step 5 — Deliver Items
Some requests are multi‑stage:
- Collect materials (e.g., 10 Timber, 5 Apples) from foraging/farming.
- Return to the specified NPC and hand them over to complete the request.
3. How Weekly Requests Work
Once you reach D.G. Member Level 13, Weekly Requests become visible in the same UI as daily requests.
These are larger, multi‑step objectives that span the week (e.g., complete events, gather large quantities of items, achieve milestones in mini‑games). Most of these requests are tied to events, which can include participating in different hobbies like birdwatching, catching insects.
Weekly Requests typically reward larger amounts of Gold and Wishing Stars, but generally do not give Contribution Medals directly as dailies do — instead, they’re valuable for other progression and resources.
Weekly Requests refresh on a weekly reset (Saturday at 6:00 AM server time).
Tip: Sometimes Weekly Requests have to be accepted first in the quest menu before progress counts — make sure to manually accept them when they appear.
Examples of Weekly Requests
- “Harvest 50 Wheat over the week” — cumulative harvest goal.
- “Catch 20 rare Fish” — complete gradually across days.
- “Complete 30 Daily Requests this week” — cumulative daily progress count.
Unlike Daily Requests, Weekly tasks reward with Gold and Wishing Stars or event participation bonuses — not always Contribution Medals.
4. Contribution Medals & DG Member Progression
The Resident Request system is primarily about earning Contribution Medals, which are used to increase your D.G. Member level — essentially the game’s main progression engine.
Uses of Contribution Medals
- Level Up D.G. Membership: Progress unlocks new features, including hobbies (like Gardening, Cooking, etc.), quality‑of‑life systems, and more home plots.
- Unlock Story and Activities: Many systems are gated behind specific levels that require medals to reach.
- Unlock Weekly Requests: Weeklies appear at Level 13.
