A large part of why Granblue Fantasy: Relink feels so good to play is its diverse and deep collection of playable characters. No matter how you like to play the game or what play style you gravitate towards, there’s someone just right for you, whether that be the slow but methodical Io, the heavy-hitting Vane, the parrying princess Charlotta and many more. Not only do each of these characters have a unique playstyle right off the bat but they can become even better thanks to the Mastery system which lets you unlock new Skills, new bonuses, new Sigil Slots and more to craft some incredible builds.
However, with almost 20 unique characters to raise to level 100, you’re going to have your work cut out for you if you want to try them all in the endgame, and that isn’t even considering their Masteries. As such, many players will be looking for the fastest ways to earn both EXP and MSP to level up their characters quickly and unlock their Masteries efficiently. Fortunately, there is a great EXP and MSP farming method which takes mere minutes and can have your entire crew to level 100 in a few hours.
Here’s how to farm easy EXP and Mastery Points in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, allowing you to quickly get all your characters to level 100 in a matter of hours.

How to Farm EXP and Mastery Points in Granblue Fantasy Relink
The best way to farm EXP and MSP in Granblue Fantasy: Relink is to repeatedly run the Slimepede Quest. This is a Maniac difficulty Quest, meaning that you will need to beat Chapter 0 to unlock it. You’ll find Slimpede on Almerain Island where your objective is to simply beat as many slimes as possible in the time limit provided.
At this point, you’ve likely already encountered one or two Slimes across GBF Relink’s main story. These little buggers act as mimics hiding in plain sight as ordinary pots until attacked, at which point they’ll transform and try to escape. Manage to beat one and you’ll get a fountain of riches including Rupies, EXP and MSP. Slimes are a limited enemy type in the Story Chapters so even though they are a great source of levels and Mastery Points early on, you’ll quickly exhaust them: the same cannot be said about Slimes found in Quests.
Slimepede is a Survival-type Quest where you’ll be given three minutes to eliminate as many Slimes as possible within the confines of Seedhollow Castle. Across the floor of the arena will be tons of pots, all of which are Slimes. Just like in the Story Chapters, these Slimes drop massive amounts of Rupies, EXP and MSP when killed, greatly incentivising you to defeat as many as possible.
Additionally, every now and again, Vyrn will warn you that a large King Slime has spawned somewhere on the field. These Slimes look the same as all the others from the outside but, once attacked, become gargantuan with way more health than any other kind of Slime. Of course, the bigger the prey, the greater the bounty, with King Slimes giving upwards of 70 MSP per kill.
There isn’t any sort of limit on how many times you can do this mission, either, allowing you to just spam it from the Quest Counter as many times as you like. Just farming Slimepede on its own is more than enough to rapidly increase the levels of your characters, allowing you to earn massive amounts of EXP and MSP without needing to exert yourself all too much. However, if you’re committed to the grind and want to make farming Slimepede as easy as possible, we do have some tips to consider.
Advice for Faster Levels in Granblue Fantasy Relink
Equip Fast Learner Sigils
Firstly, when leaving up a character, you’ll want to outfit them with as many Fast Learner Sigils as possible. Fast Learner is a Special type Sigil which just increases the amount of EXP you earn from defeating foes and clearing quests. Considering our goal is to get as many levels as fast as possible, these Sigils are a lifesaver when it comes to time.
Like most Sigils, Fast Learner comes in five tiers, with each individual Sigil having its own Trait Level. If you’re running multiple of the same Sigil, their Trait Levels will be added to get your final total. For example, if I have two Fast Learner V Sigils which are Lvl 11 and one Fast Learner IV Sigil which is Lvl 7 equipped to the same character, they’ll all be added together to get a total Fast Learner Trait Level of 29, netting that character 22% extra EXP.
Fast Learner is, unfortunately, a rather rare Sigil so you may not have a bunch of them when you start your farming. However, as luck would have it, Slimepede actually has a chance to drop Legendary-tier Fast Learner V Sigils as end-of-quest rewards, making gearing your characters for levelling even easier. Just remember to switch out your Sigils whenever you start levelling a new character.

Level Multiple Party Members at Once
With 18 unique characters to level up in Granblue Fantasy Relink, it’s going to take some time to get them all to 100, even with farming Slimepede. One downside to farming Quests as opposed to Story Chapters is that characters who aren’t in the party won’t gain any EXP from that Quest, even from enemy kills. At a glance, this can make the Slimepede method drag a lot more than it does, especially if you’re only levelling a single character at a time. To fix this and make the process go faster, we recommend only using one of your party slots for a high-level character so that the remaining three slots can be used for units you intend to level.
The Slimes in Slimepede are all level 100 so some players may be anxious to bring in low-level characters. Well, fortunately, alongside Slime’s abundant generosity, they’re also one of the most docile and weak enemy types in the game, allowing even low-level characters to confidently take them on. This means that you can pretty safely bring in a group of weaker units for levelling purposes.
Runs will go slightly slower by only having a single high-level character but the trade-off in terms of time invested is still well worth it. Having to repeat the quest three times to get 10 levels on three units simultaneously is way better than having to do it multiple times with a single character, even if those individual runs take less time. Paired with the Fast Learner Sigils tip and your team will be ship-shape in no time.
Another upside to this is that you won’t be missing out on using MSP by using a level 100 character for farming. Once a character has hit level 100, they’ll still earn EXP but, when they reach their EXP cap, they’ll simply receive a bundle of MSP as well as a few Vouchers for the Knickknack Shack. As such, even when you’re levelling three weaker characters, your main will still be getting easy MSP for you, making this method well worth it.
Remember to Use Spellbooks for Instant EXP
Another great thing about the Slimepede quest is that it has the chance to drop Spellbooks as an end-of-Quest reward. There are three types of Spellbook – Copper, Silver and Gold – which can be found and used in the Treasure section of your inventory. When selected, Spellbooks will instantly give a certain amount of EXP to one character, with Gold books giving the most.
Combining Spellbooks with the natural EXP accrued from killing Slimes and clearing the Slimepede Quest is the best and most efficient way to level up your characters. One recommended use of Spellbooks is to use them on low-level characters you’re about to begin levelling as Spellbooks have a more apparent effect on level 60 units compared to level 80 ones. However, you can just use them to inch characters over the finish line and get them from 99 to 100, if you want.
Farming Method
So, now that we’ve gone over the Slimepede Quest and the best ways to maximise your experience and Mastery Points when farming, what’s the best way to farm EXP and MSP in Granblue Fantasy: Relink?
- To level efficiently, make sure three members of your party are characters you’re levelling up, leaving your playable character as the main damage dealer (who will likely already be at or near level 100).
- Outfit all your characters with as many Fast Learner Sigils as you can so that they gain additional EXP from each Slime kill.
- Once you enter the mission, prioritise using AoE attacks that hit as many Slimes as possible. Your allies won’t attack the Slimes until they reveal their true form so focus on breaking them first and foremost.
- When a King Slime shows up, make them the priority as they drop the most amount of Rupies, EXP and MSP.
- Aside from that, simply kill as many Slimes as you can within the time limit.
- At the end of the quest, your crew should have gained several levels, earning you plenty of MSP. You will also receive additional EXP and MSP based on how many enemies you Overkill and how many objectives you complete.
- After reviewing your rewards, simply select to retry the missions and continue farming for as long as you want.
Compared to some other farms, this one does require you to stay focused and attentive because, without you, your allies won’t be defeating any Slimes. However, the rewards greatly outweigh any downsides. With the right Sigils, you can get characters from level 70 to level 100 in no time flat, making levelling a thing of the past.
That was the best way to farm EXP and MSP in Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
