Granblue Fantasy: Relink | All Crewmate Cards Guide (How to Unlock All Characters)

In Granblue Fantasy: Relink, each crew member of the Grancypher has a deep and unique combat kit which sets them apart from everyone else, giving you tons of variety with just your starting set of characters. Aside from the initial roster of the Grandcypher, there are 12 more playable characters that you can recruit in GBF Relink, all of whom are going to be very familiar to fans of the Granblue Fantasy mobile game. From the small but loyal Charlotta to the cocky and headstrong Zeta, the aloof genius Cagliostro to the calm and quiet prince Siegfried, each new character offers plenty of new ways to play and engage with Relink’s amazing combat framework.

To recruit these new characters to your party, you’ll need an item called a Crewmate Card. These shiny blue cards are used to summon an ally of your choice from Siero, the shopkeep at the Knickknack Shack, and while some Crewmate Cards are pretty easy to get (or they just straight up handed to you), others are a bit too harder to locate. With 12 Crewmate Cards to earn in total and 12 new characters, for you to try out in your team, there’s plenty of reason to try and get your hands on these Cards as soon as possible.

Here’s how to obtain all 12 Crewmate Cards in Granblue Fantasy: Relink to unlock all playable characters.

How to Obtain All Crewmate Card Items in Granblue Fantasy Relink

Main Story Progression

The first method of obtaining Crewmate Cards is to simply progress through the main campaign. After completing Chapter 2, you’ll sent back to Folca after your defeat at the hands of Id. It’s at this point where Siero, after overhearing a conversation the Captain is having with Io, will give you your very first Crewmate Card, allowing you to summon a new ally to your side for the upcoming battles. This also functions as a tutorial for the Crewmate Card system.

Aside from this first encounter, Siero will also gift you a total of two more Crewmate Cards at various points in the main story. The first will be during your initial visit to Seedhollow in Chapter 6, the second major town in GBF Relink, where, after speaking to Zathba for the first time, Siero will award you a Crewmate Card on his behalf. Then, during Chapter 8, Siero will appear in the courtyard before you storm Seedhollow Castle, gifting you another Crewmate Card in the process.

These are the most direct ways to earn new Crewmates, with the other methods of acquisition being a bit more out of the way.

Skyfarer Rank and Difficulty Increase

Aside from Siero, the other primary way of obtaining new Crewmate Cards in Granblue Fantasy: Relink is to increase your Skyfarer Rank. You can begin doing this once you’ve beaten the Final Chapter of the main story, with each Rank increase giving you access to more difficult missions and higher quality rewards.

Your first major Skyfarer Rank increase arrives when you complete the Final Chapter and enter Chapter 0. This will signify your promotion from Novice Skyfarer to Veteran Skyfarer, giving you access to Hard, Very Hard and Extreme-level Quests. Additionally, you’ll get a new slate of rewards for your promotion, including one shiny Crewmate Card.

The next Crewmate Card you’ll obtain in this manner is unlocked once you gain access to Extreme quest difficulty. This doesn’t raise your Skyfarer Rank, per se, but it does give you access to a new category of quests, serving as a sort of soft rank-up. Extreme Quests are unlocked once you complete the second major part of Chapter 0, Skybound Heart, where you venture back out onto the Pillar of Vayoi and fight a shadowy version of Id. This only unlocks after completing four of Rolan’s leftover tasks.

Difficult Quests

The next method of obtaining Crewmate Cards is to complete certain quests which drop them as a first-time reward. Quests in Granblue Fantasy Relink have repeatable rewards and first-time rewards, with the latter only dropping once when you complete the quest for the first time. In total, there are 6 Crewmate Cards available through completing quests

During your initial venture through the main story, you can obtain three more Crewmate Cards by undertaking certain quests where you rematch the Primal Gods. These quests have relatively low difficulty ratings and they’ll unlock as you complete new chapters, allowing you to circle back around for easy new allies

These quests are:

  • Saga Grande: The Beginning, Ainsteddo Archipelago East | Defeat Furycane (PW 1500)
  • The Saga Continues: Ice, Leautagne Island | Defeat Managarmr (PW 2600)
  • The Saga Continues: Fire, Phondam, the Scarred Isles | Defeat Vulkan Bolla (PW 2800)

After clearing the Final Chapter, you’ll enter Chapter 0: Skybound Heart which is where the game really opens up in terms of quests, combat, endgame rewards and more. Additionally, during this time, you’ll receive three more Quests at the Quest Counter where you can pick up three more Crewmate Cards. These quests, especially the last two, are much harder than anything you’ve faced so far, featuring enemies of 70 and above.

The three Very Hard missions which give you Crewmate Cards in Granblue Fantasy Relink are:

  • Hide and Chic, Leautagne Island | Defeat the blizzadile (PW 3800)
  • Wings of Antiquity, Ainsteddo Archipelago East | Defeat the ancient dragon (PW 4200)
  • No One Likes Leftovers, Almerain Island | Defeat the Tayu’itar (PW 5000)

Trade Dalia Badges at Siero’s Knickknack Shack

Finally, only one more Crewmate Card is standing between you and a full roster of characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. So, how do you get it? Well, we’ll be visiting the person who gave us our Crewmate Card for that answer.

Once you complete the Final Chapter and return to Folca, you can start undertaking Quick Quests at the Quest Counter. Selecting this option will send you out into a random quest of any difficulty you’ve already beaten but the main draw of this mode is that completing Quick Quests will net you Silver and Gold Dalia Badges.

Dalia Badges can then be traded into Siero at the Knickknack Shack. Both Silver and Gold Dalia Badges can be spent to purchase high-grade, endgame-level materials for your weapons or Sigils, but only Gold Dalia Badges will allow you to get another Crewmate Card.

For 7 Gold Dalia Bagdes, you can purchase a single Crewmate Card, the last one available to you in the game. 7 Badges isn’t difficult to get whatsoever, it just means doing a handful of Quick Quests. If you want to speed things up even further, go Online and do Quick Quests with other players.
