Chests aren’t an uncommon occurrence in Granblue Fantasy: Relink and you’ll find them pretty much everywhere, whether that be out in the wilds during a mission or nestled in the safety of a town. However, hidden around Folca and Seedhollow – the two main hub areas in GBF Relink – are several Locked Chests which require special keys to open them. In total, there are three different chest types – Silver, Gold and Whitewing – all of which need their respective keys which are unlocked in different ways.
Unlike ordinary town chests which will respawn after some time and give random materials when opened, Silver, Gold and Whitewing Chests can only be opened a single time and award a fixed number of items. These items include Sigils, enemy materials, Gold and more, with Whitewing Chests, in particular, housing some very potent items which will massively help your character build at the endgame. Additionally, opening all 10 of these Locked Chests is required to complete the Unlocked and Unloaded trophy, making finding them doubly worth your while.

How to Obtain the Silver Key
The first chest key you can obtain in Granblue Fantasy: Relink is the Silver Key which, as you can imagine, opens Silver Chests. The key itself will drop as a reward from a fairly early game quest, one you cannot complete until you progress a significant amount through the story. That quest is A Lingering Regret, one of the very first Side Quests you can accept in Folca.
To obtain the Silver Key, you must complete the side quest A Lingering Regret by finding five Golem Fingers. Despite this being one of the first Quests you can get, you won’t be able to complete it until reaching Chapter 6 which is where you’ll first encounter a Golem in GBF Relink
On your first trip to Dahli Island, one of the seals to the treasure vault Zathba is looking for is being guarded by a dormant Rock Golem, one you will wake in your attempts to unseal the vault. If you’re lucky, defeating the Golem will award you the five Golem Fingers you need. If that isn’t enough, you can also enter the Golemology 101: Desert Golems Quest to get some more.

How to Obtain the Gold Key
The Gold Key in Granblue Fantasy: Relink becomes available once you finish Chapter 8 of the main story. After the skies have gone dark, several new side quests will begin popping up all over Seedhollow. One of these side quests is Out of Serpentine Spite which you can accept from a male Erunes near the Seedhollow Quest Counter. The quest giver will lament how his partner is hanging up his adventurer’s cap because of a Cobra, asking you to take revenge on his behalf.
To obtain the Gold Key, you must complete the Out of Serpentine Spite side quest by killing a Cobra. This quest is actually fairly simple, only asking you to beat a single Cobra to complete it. Do that and you’ll be awarded the Gold Key alongside a 15,000 Gold and a Fortitude Crystal (S).

There are two main ways to easily locate a Cobra in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. This enemy type lives exclusively on Dahli Island, the desert landscape you visit during Chapter 6 of the main story. If you have access to Chapter Select from beating the main campaign, you can revisit Chapter 6 to get your Cobra. Select Relics in the Sand during the Chapter 6 replay and progress through the mission until you need to unseal the treasure vault: from there, head to the stretch of land to the west where you will find a lone Cobra roaming the dunes.
Alternatively, if you don’t have access to Chapter Select yet or just want to get some quests done, you can also find Cobras in the Rilla Done Did It Survival Quest on Dahli Island. This mission asks you to hold against infinitely respawning waves of enemies, with the elite-tier enemies being Cobras. The PW rating for this quest is really low (only being PW 1600) so you should be able to get it done in no time flat to earn yourself that Gold Key.

How to Obtain the Whitewing Key
The Whitewing Key in Granblue Fantasy: Relink is both the simplest and most challenging chest key to get ahold of. To obtain the Whitewing Key, you need to complete Chapter 0: Skybound Heart. Completing this last chapter will promote your quest grade to Zegagrande Legend, where you’ll get the Whitewing Key as one of your main rewards.
Of course, this is far easier said than done. In Chapter 0, GBF Relink opens up in terms of difficulty and quests, asking you to complete a laundry list of tough objectives to complete tasks left behind by Rolan. These quests start relatively simple but quickly escalate into some of the hardest challenges in the entire game, culminating in four PW 8000 missions against different Ancient Dragons.

All Locked Chest Locations in Granblue Fantasy Relink
Now that you have all the Chest Keys, here’s where all of the Silver, Gold and Whitewing Chests are located in Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
In total, there are:
- 4 Silver Chests (2 in Folca, 2 in Seedhollow)
- 3 Gold Chests (1 in Folca, 2 in Seedhollow)
- 3 Whitewing Chests (1 in Folca, 2 in Seedhollow)
Upon finding and opening all of the Locked Chests, you’ll obtain the Unlocked and Unloaded trophy or achievement, which is a required part of obtaining 100% completion in Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
Silver Chest Locations
The first Silver Chest we’ll be looking for is in Folca. Starting at Siero’s Knickknack Shack, turn right down the sidestreet away from the Church. At the end of that street is a small family selling their wares as well as a slope leading back up towards the Church: just behind the family, you’ll find the first Silver Chest.

Meanwhile, the second Silver Folca Chest is near the pond behind the Blacksmith’s shop. Once you reach the pond, head right over the rickety wooden bridge and continue moving forward until you come to the stone house with an archway. Under that archway will be the second Silver Chest.

With Folca out of the way, we can move on to Seedhollow’s Silver Chest, which is infinitely easier to find. Simply head to Siero’s Knickknack Shack in Seedhollow and then look to the left to find the Silver Chest sitting patiently within the circular promenade.

As for the second Seedhollow Silver Chest, make your way to Zathba’s Bar in the town’s tight alleyways. After wandering down some steep stairs, you should find the Chest nestled into a nook just before you enter the bar itself.

Gold Chest Locations
Beginning with the Gold Chest in Folca, return to the pond behind the Blacksmith’s house. Go around the left side of the pond until you come across a large house with a sloped red roof. This roof is low enough that you can jump up on it, allowing you to scale the top side of this house and reach its balcony, where the first Gold Chest awaits you.

Moving onto Seedhollow, the first Gold Chest can be found near the Docks. After entering Seedhollow, keep going straight forward until you reach the final set of stairs. From there, turn right into a small alcove where two people will be talking. Hidden just behind this chatty pair is the first Seedhollow Gold Chest.

As for the second Seedhollow Chest, head up those stairs into the main area of Seedhollow, and begin moving to the left past the Quest Counter. After navigating around some market stalls, you’ll come to a stretch of road which usually leads to the alleyways. If you ignore the alleyway and continue moving straight ahead, you’ll find the last Gold Chest resting underneath some shade by a locked metal gate.

Whitewing Chest Locations
For the Whitewing Chest in Folca, make your way to the Church doors and then turn right. After going up some stairs and passing through a white archway, you’ll come to a small area with a waterwheel. However, instead of going towards the wheel, go the opposite direction into the tall grass to the left: keep going and, eventually, you’ll find the Whitewing Chest hiding behind a bush.

As for the Seedhollow Whitewing Chests, start at the Silver Chest near Siero’s Knickknack Shop. Then, climb the stairs to the right of the chest and begin making your way down the street that’s dead ahead. This, usually, leads to another entrance of the alleyway but, get to the end of the road, and you’ll find the first Whitewing Chest in front of a door to the right side of the road.

Fortunately, the second Seedhollow Whitewing Chest isn’t far from the first. After locating the first one by the door, turn around and head into the nearby alleyway entrance. Immediately after crossing under a large archway and entering into the alley proper, the Whitewing Chest will be right there to greet you.
