When you first leave the bunker in Escape from Duckov, one of the first things you will see is a sphere that is blocked by four walls. While one of the walls is cracked, it is not clear how it can be broken. In this guide, we will go over what you will need in order to break walls like this. It will also go over how to use the item afterward.
1. What Item Do You Need?
In order to break these walls, you will need to literally blow them up. The easiest way to do this is to obtain a Grenade.
- Grenades can be found as random loot — you can have a better chance at finding one at houses and camp areas
- Leveling up will also increase your chances of having one drop
- Once you’ve unlocked the Weapon Shop, you can buy one for 600 money
The Weapon Shop will sell Grenades if you can’t find them
2. How to Throw a Grenade
In order to throw a grenade, you will need to equip it first. Afterward, you just have to make sure to use it in the right area.
- Open your inventory, then drag the Grenade to one of your hotbar keys
- Leave the menu, then press your chosen key to pull the grenade out — you will see a dotted line and a large circle appear
- Hold the button briefly, aim the circle where you want to throw it, and release the key when you’re ready to throw
- The Grenade will explode on anything that is in the circle while aiming after a short delay
The circle is the effective range of the explosion once you throw the Grenade
3. What Do You Get from Blowing Up a Wall?
If you successfully throw the Grenade at a cracked wall, it will destroy the wall permanently. There are two cracked walls in Ground Zero, and both give you very useful things when blown up
- The wall close to the starting point will give you access to a Portal
- This Portal will instantly take you to the northwest end of the map
- The wall near the northwest end of the map (just above the Portal there) will lead you to the Warehouse area

- The wall near the start of your Raid once it’s broken

- The wall at the northwest side of the map once it’s broken
Not only will blowing up these walls make your raids on Ground Zero easier, but it will also allow you to go to a whole new area. This will give you the next step on ultimately escaping.
