Getting Started

Creating a Player

Once you open the game mode, you will be introduced to the character creation screen. In which, you get to decide your player’s name, nationality, body type, position, appearance, and animations. There are a lot of new options to choose from this year, including a brand new ‘store’ feature that allows you to purchase cosmetics for your player via a new coin-based currency that is earned across all game modes.

Choosing your player’s position and body type is extremely important but also differs depending on your role in your club. Below we will list the best clubs builds in EA FC 25, with all the necessary information you need to allocate stats and playstyles.

Just Winging It – The Wide Midfielder

This build has been a staple in Clubs for years and is generally the go to for most players. This is because it focuses mainly on pace, which usually is a very important stat in EA FC. However, this year, pace isn’t as vital due to the slow paced, build-up focused gameplay, thus we are now free to allocate some of the pace stats into some more passing and dribbling.

  • Position: RW
  • Height: 5’3”
  • Weight: 99 LBS
  • Preferred Foot: Left

Stat Allocation

Obviously, the main stat you’ll want to focus on will be pace. Despite the game being slow-paced, you’ll still need some pace to start off on in order to run around defenders and be effective. Once you begin to level up however, do not invest heavily in pace and instead allocate some stats into dribbling and passing. Make sure you invest in dribbling enough to unlock a minimum of four star skill moves (five preferably). If you do not find passing useful to you, you can simply invest a little in shooting in order to cut inside and score some goals.

Playstyles

  • Trickster: Due to this game generally feeling slower-paced than previous titles, we cannot rely solely on sprinting past defenders in order to get past them. This is where Trickster comes in, allowing you to perform advanced skill moves that can penetrate defensive lines easily

  • Quick Step: This playstyle will boost your acceleration from a still position making it extremely useful for initiating a sprint down the line that will end in a cross or cut inside.

  • Rapid: Rapid is basically a boost to your acceleration, making it so that you are able to reach your top speed much faster than usual. Pretty self-explanatory why you would want to have this playstyle whilst running down the wing.

The Incredible Bulk – Capitano Defender

Leading the backline, this powerful beast of a player aims to break the legs of any attacker that tries to skill around them. You’re going to be piloting a monster that focuses on interceptions as well as going up for corners to score that 90th minute winner. This is one of the best builds in EA FC 25‘s Clubs, especially because most players like to play in attack instead of defense, so its rare to find a good CB.

  • Position: CB/CDM/RB/LB
  • Height: 6’2”-6’7”
  • Weight: 179 LBS
  • Preferred Foot: Right

Stat Allocation

The reason why we’ve got RB/LB in position is because you can set them as your player’s position in order to get a small default boost in your starting pace stats. Then when you hop-in to a game lobby, simply place your RB/LB player into the CB position on the team sheet and voila. You’ll want to improve all of your defensive stats equally as well as your physical stats too. If you have any stats to spare, you can place them in agility/balance to be less clunky, passing to play out the back, or pace to become a tank on the pitch. Starting as CDM also gives you a nice starting boost to passing.

Playstyles

  • Anticipate: This playstyle makes it so that your standing tackles are more successful. This is extremely effective especially when stepping up to attackers as they approach you.

  • Block: As the name suggests, block focuses on your defensive capability when it comes to blocking shots. This can prove especially useful as a lot of Clubs players like to get fancy and shoot whenever they get the chance, even from unideal positions.
  • Aerial: Aerial is very versatile as it helps both offensively and defensively. This boosts your ability to win aerial battles, giving you a higher chance of winning headers.

I Call Dibs Playing as the… – Main Striker

Watch as three or four of your friends argue over who gets to play as the main striker. Not only that, but whoever ends up playing this position is guaranteed to miss one sweaty and one penalty. This is where you come in. With this build, you’ll prove to them that your ‘trust me, bro’ is definitely worth the trust. No more missed penalties, no more missed 1v1s with the keeper. You’re the new Lewandowski.

  • Position: CF/RF/LF
  • Height: 5’5” – 6’0” (Depending if you want a tall poacher or an agile finisher)
  • Weight: 99 – 120 LBS
  • Preferred Foot: Right

Stat Allocation

Pretend that you’re Arthur Morgan for a second because all you’re going to be focused on is shooting. Ideally, you’ll want to allocate stats into shooting until you’ve reached a minimum of four star weak foot. If you manage to net five that would be great but I would suggest first focusing on becoming four star, four star (skill moves). If you want to reach five star, five star, we would suggest to play Skill Games in order to gain more Player Growth XP which then rewards you with skill points each new level reached.

The main stats you should focus on are long shots, finishing, and shot power. Any remaining skill points should be put into pace and dribbling to make your attacker a bit more agile. If you make your attacker a tall poacher, then invest in physical, especially heading and strength. If you make your attacker a lean, agile finisher, then focus heavily on agility and balance. Additionally, setting the position to CF instead of ST increases your base starting pace a little bit extra which is pretty valuable.

Playstyles

  • Power Shot: Power Shots have been improved immensely in EA FC 25, especially considering the fact that the slow gameplay sometimes makes it difficult to score from inside the box. Long shots are pretty effective this year so being able to shoot from even further out yet still with good accuracy and power is a great addition to your arsenal.

  • Finesse Shot: Again, this playstyle can help you score from outside of the box but also gives you a reliable way to score if you’re not good at finishing those 1v1s. With this playstyle, you’re almost guaranteed to score every finesse shot you take.

  • Trivela: Consider Trivela the inverse of finesse where you use the outside of your boot to curve the ball into the net. This is especially helpful if you still don’t have a good weak foot and also allows you to score from difficult angles/distances.

Furthermore, a striker can definitely benefit from some of the other playstyles we discussed above such as Rapid and Quick Step in order to beat the last defender and be through on goal.

All in all, the perfect build depends on what you’re going for but this was our guide of what we think is the best Clubs builds in EA FC 25.
