Crimson Desert features 24 Legendary Animals scattered across forests, deserts, jungles, snowy mountains, and remote river regions throughout the world. Each one is tied to a specific area on the map, but the markers only show the general search zone, meaning you still need to explore the surroundings to locate the actual animal.
Some hunts also require certain quests to appear, while others can be found naturally once you reach their region. This guide lists all Legendary Animals in Crimson Desert and explains exactly where to search for each one so you can track them down efficiently.
1. Black Fang
Black Fang
Black Fang is the Legendary Wolf and one of the most important legendary animals because finishing its quest rewards you with Lieber’s Soul, which marks all legendary animals on your map. This one does not behave like a normal open-world spawn and is tied to faction quest progress.
You need the Howls from North Gate quest through House Celeste. Once that is active, you can track Black Fang with your Lantern by following the golden path through the forest. The hunt itself has multiple stages, so this is more of a full boss encounter than a simple field animal.

Black Fang is found in the Forest of Wolves in the Hernandian Territory, north of Hernand. Enter the forest with your Lantern equipped, follow the golden tracking trail, and keep tracking until the wolf appears.

2. Silver Fang
Silver Fang
Silver Fang only becomes available after you have completed Black Fang first. It is another wolf target, but unlike Black Fang, this one is found in a more specific hideout instead of a longer tracking sequence.
Once the requirement is done, head back to the wolf region and search for the cave area where it rests with its pack. This one is much easier to confirm once you are in the right place because it is not wandering a huge forest zone.

Silver Fang is in the South of Pailune. Look for a small cave in the area. Silver Fang is inside with a pack of normal wolves.

3. Skevald the Carrion King
Skevald The Carrion King Hyena
Skevald the Carrion King is the legendary hyena and another quest-based hunt. This is not a normal free-roam discovery, because you need to begin its bounty-related quest before the target becomes the proper hunt.
Once the quest is active, use your Lantern to follow the revealed trail to Skevald’s den. Expect a longer fight than most ordinary legendary animals, since this one is treated more like a boss encounter.

Skevald is tied to the “Lords of Unclaimed Lands” quest. Start it from the bounty notice in Tommaso, then go to the hunt area just to the right of Tashkalp, near the approach before the Crimson Desert.

4. Black Lion

The Black Lion is one of the more inconsistent legendary animals because it is tied to quest progression and appears to roam more than most predators. If it is not there when you arrive, the problem is usually the missing quest state rather than the route.
This is one of the hunts where reaching the right border region matters more than standing on a single exact dot. Once you are in its zone, search the surrounding area carefully because it does not seem to stay perfectly fixed.

5. White Lion
White Lion
The White Lion is one of the clearest late-game legendary animal hunts. It stands out visually, but reaching its region takes longer than most of the earlier targets because it is located deep in the northeastern desert side of the map.
Once you find the lion pack, the target is easy to identify because of its color. The main challenge here is the distance and the fact that it sits in a late-game zone.

The White Lion is on the northeastern edge of the Crimson Desert, below Varnia. Search the desert zone there for a lion pack and identify the white lion among them.

6. White Tiger
White Tiger
The White Tiger is hidden in dense jungle terrain, which makes it one of the more annoying predator hunts even though the broader region is known. It does not sit in a clean open field, so the search takes longer than the average herbivore target.
The easiest way to confirm you are close is by finding tiger activity in the jungle and then checking which one is the legendary target. This is one of the best examples of why a marker gives you a region rather than an exact standing point.

The White Tiger is in the jungle east of Demeniss. Once you reach the White-Scaled Crocodile area, go a little south into the jungle and search for a tiger pack.

7. White Bear
White Bear
The White Bear is a remote snowfield hunt. It is easy to visually identify once you are there, but getting to the area takes time because it sits far out on the snowy northwest side of the map.
This is a very straightforward legendary animal once the route is done. The region is more open than the jungle zones, so spotting it is much simpler than tracking something like the White Tiger.

8. White-Scaled Crocodile
White-Scaled Crocodile
The White-Scaled Crocodile is one of the earliest useful legendary predator hunts because of its reward, and it is also easier to route than some of the more obscure targets. The search is focused on the river rather than a huge land zone.
Once you are at the correct river stretch, follow the bank and check the crocodiles carefully until you spot the pale target. It may be near trees or shallow bank areas instead of sitting neatly in open water.

The White-Scaled Crocodile is on the river east of Demeniss, near the riverbank by the Sanctum. Follow that river section and check the crocodiles along the bank until you find the white one.

9. Red River Hog
Red River Hog
The Red River Hog is smaller and easier to miss than many of the legendary animals around it. Even if you are in the correct jungle zone, you still need to slow down and search the river edges carefully.
It is not a huge target like a bear, lion, or bison, so this one is more about careful scanning than obvious silhouette spotting. Look for the color and the fact that it stays close to the river path.

10. White Moose
White Moose
The White Moose is one of the cleaner herbivore hunts because it can be seen more easily in open terrain. The animal itself stands out once you reach the correct side of Pailune.
This is a good hunt to combine with other nearby routes in the same region, since several legendary animals are clustered across the wider Pailune side of the map.

The White Bison is a desert-side herd hunt. Once you reach the correct area, the target is visually easy to separate because it stands out from the rest of the herd.
This is one of the simpler location hunts in the late-game regions because you are looking for a large herd and a clearly different-colored bison rather than a hidden cave, forest track, or jungle cat.

The White Bison appears near the southern edge of the Crimson Desert, close to Tashkalp. Search the herd in that area and identify the white bison among the others.

12. Snow White Deer
Snow White Deer
The Snow White Deer is one of the easiest legendary herbivores to identify because of its color. This is a clean early-style hunt where the main job is simply reaching the right Pailune zone and scanning the deer groups.
It does not blend in the way some other deer-type animals do, so once you find the correct herd, confirming the target is straightforward.

The Snow White Deer is found in Pailune, near the area marked around the letter A in Pailune. Search nearby deer groups in that field and snowy ground until you spot the large white deer.

13. Vine Deer
Vine Deer
The Vine Deer is a more subtle deer hunt because it looks closer to the other animals around it than the Snow White Deer does. This means the location landmarks matter more when you start searching.
Once you reach the right flower-covered area, look carefully at the herd and identify the one with the horned male appearance. This is the best way to separate it from the rest.

The Vine Deer is at Bow Spirit Cape, a flower-covered island west of Delesyia. Search the deer herd there and identify the horned male.

14. White Elk
White Elk
The White Elk is much easier to pick out than the smaller deer hunts because of its size. Once you are in the correct western map region, it becomes more of a landmark search than a careful hidden-animal scan.
The nearby tower and river are the key route markers, so navigation is simpler here than in the jungle or desert searches.

15. Phoenix
Phoenix Bird
The Phoenix is the strangest legendary animal in the set because it is not always on the ground and appears much less consistently than the other targets. This makes the search different from almost every other legendary animal route.
The important part here is patience. You are not just looking for tracks or a herd. You need to watch the sky in the remote desert area and wait for the bird to show itself.

The Phoenix is in the central Crimson Desert, deep in a remote sand-covered region. Stand on a high pillar in the area and waiting for the large golden bird to fly by.

16. Clockwork Fish
Clockwork Fish
The Clockwork Fish is one of the five legendary fishing targets. Unlike the land animals, this one is entirely about reaching the correct body of water and fishing in the proper spot.
It is a much more precise water search than the broad riverbank animal hunts, so once you reach the stream, focus on fishing rather than wandering the region.

17. Coelacanth
Coelacanth Fish
The Coelacanth is another legendary fish and is tied to a major river rather than a tiny isolated pool. That makes the section of river more important than the surrounding region name alone.
If you fish too far from the correct mid-river section, you may still be in the right general area but not in the best catch zone for this legendary fish.

18. Golden Carp
Golden Carp
The Golden Carp is one of the easier legendary fish to route because it is tied to water near a major known region rather than a hidden late-game corner. This makes it much more convenient to slot into a larger collection run.
As with the other legendary fish, once you reach the correct water patch, the job is simply to fish there instead of searching a full area on foot.

19. Golden Coelacanth
Golden Coelacanth Fish
The Golden Coelacanth is also a fishing target in the broader Pailune side of the map. It is separate from the standard Coelacanth, so the water location matters more than just the fish type name.
This one is best approached as a specific water stop on a longer northern route rather than a random cast in any nearby river.

20. Golden Tench
Golden Tench
The Golden Tench is another location-based legendary fish and sits far enough away from some of the other water routes that it is better treated as its own trip.
What matters most here is identifying the correct body of water relative to the mountain landmark, not just reaching the southwestern side of the map and fishing anywhere nearby.

21. Royler
Royler Horse
Royler is the legendary white horse. Like the other legendary horses, this one is not killed but tamed, so the search ends when you reach the correct field location and start the riding sequence.
The route is clean and the area has a strong landmark setup, making this one easier to locate than many of the predators and deer hunts.

22. Camora
Camora Horse
Camora is the legendary red horse. This one is part of the cluster of legendary targets around the eastern jungle and Red River side of the map, which makes it efficient to combine with nearby hunts. As with the other legendary horses, once you find it, the goal is to tame it rather than fight it.

23. Rokade
Rokade Horse
Rokade is the legendary black horse and one of the cleaner southern routes because the lake and nearby landmark make the search area easy to narrow down.
This one is more about reaching the right southern region than doing any complicated search once you are there.

The Giant White Bison is treated as a separate legendary bison hunt. Like the other herd-based herbivore hunts, it is easy to identify once you find the group because the target is visibly larger and lighter than the others around it.
