Fans of Black Desert rejoice. A new game from Pearl Abyss called Crimson Desert has arrived. While there are three different editions, most people will want to purchase the Standard Digital Edition, but there are pros and cons to all five of the different editions.
1. All Crimson Desert Editions
There are five different editions total: three physical and two digital. At time of writing, most of the physical Deluxe and Collector’s Editions are sold out at all retailers.

2. Is the Deluxe Edition of Crimson Desert Worth It?
The short answer for this one is no. There aren’t a lot of bonuses for the Deluxe Digital Edition; for $10 extra USD, you receive:
- Digital In-Game: Kairos Plate Armor Set
- Digital In-Game: Exclaire Horse Set
- Digital In-Game: Balgran Shield
While these items will most likely be exclusive to the Deluxe Edition, many will see this small amount of additional content as not worth the extra money for an already-expensive game.
3. Are the Physical Collector’s Editions Worth It?
The physical editions include a variety of physical items that collectors will love, but most people would just see as clutter. These are:
- Letter from the Developer
- Greymane Brooch Pin
- 3 Character Photo Cards
- 3 Patches
- A Map of Pywel (Deluxe) or a Fabric Map of Pywel (Collector’s)
- An Exclusive Diorama (Collector’s only)
While the diorama is pretty cool, this massive toy is most likely not worth the $200 USD extra you will need to pay to get one. Or even more than $200 if you get it after the fact from a secondary seller.

4. How Do I Redeem My Bonuses?
All digital bonuses are redeemed when playing Crimson Desert, including the preorder bonus if you got one. They will be found after you reach your first Supply Chest in the Royal Trading Post. However, some players have noted that these may be bugged at the time of writing, but the developers said in the Discord it is being fixed.
5. Does Crimson Desert have Microtransactions?
At the time of launch, no. Crimson Desert developers are open to adding microtransactions after the launch of a potential multiplayer mode has been added.
6. Is it Single Player?
Currently, Crimson Desert is only a single-player experience.
7. Can I get My Money Back or Change Editions?
While Steam has a much more lenient policy for allowing returns and upgrading editions, this will most likely not be available on other platforms. Check the rules of your chosen platform for more details.
