Galaxy Glaciers is the fourth and final region you unlock that you can explore in Collector’s Cove, a wondrous and mysterious world with strange flora that is out of this world. It is also home to a total of 14 Fabled Species, in which you must discover in order to fill your Collector’s Compendium in your quest to become Named Collector. We’ll help you acquire all of these Fabled Species in Galaxy Glaciers, including all Crops and Fish and their Fabled Conditions.
1. How to Get Fabled Species in Collector’s Cove
In Collector’s Cove, your primary goal is to fill your Collector’s Compendium in order to become a Named Collector and reach the Collector’s Cove. To do this, you need to find Fabled Species, which come in two forms: Crops and Fish. Crops are grown in planters on your boat, while fish are caught in the sea and ponds.
Getting hold of a Fabled Species takes several steps, starting with growing your first seed or catching your first fish. It requires a lot of work before you’ll be able to acquire the Fabled Species of that plant or fish, but the payoff is worth it.
1.1. How to Grow Fabled Crops
The process of getting a Fabled Crop in Collector’s Cove begins with obtaining bags of seeds, until eventually you have the knowledge and resources to get the Fabled Crop. This process is as follows:
- Plant, grow, and harvest a specific number of crops to learn the fertilizer recipe.
- Grow and harvest a fertilized crop a specific number of times to discover its Fabled Condition.
- Using the Fabled Condition and fertilizer, acquire the Fabled Crop.
1.1.1. How to Get Fertilizer
Fertilizer is a must if you want to get a Fabled Crop. It won’t exist without it. You must remember to create a crop’s fertilizer before attempting to get the Fabled Crop.
Making fertilizer takes these steps:
- Get a compost bin.
- Unlock the crop’s fertilizer recipe and gather the necessary resources.
- Interact with the compost bin, add the fertilizer recipe to the queue, and press Start to create it.
- Wait until the fertilizer is made and collect it.
Every time you make fertilizer, 5 batches are created.
1.2. How to Catch Fabled Fish
Getting a Fabled Fish in Collector’s Cove begins with discovering the fish by catching it, until you’ll be able to go hunting for the Fabled Fish using the knowledge and resources you learned. To do this, you need to do the following:
- Catch a fish a specific number of times to discover its bait recipe.
- Catch the fish with bait a specific number of times to learn its Fabled Condition.
- Follow the Fabled Condition and use the bait to catch the Fabled Fish, providing the fishing conditions are correct.
1.2.1. How to Make Bait
To catch a Fabled Fish, as well as excellent-quality fish, you must use fish bait. You will not be able to reel in a Fabled Fish without bait. It’s important to make it as soon as you can and not forget to attach it to your fishing rod.
To make fish bait, here’s what you do:
- Get a bait maker.
- Unlock the bait recipe and get the required resources.
- Approach the bait maker, add the bait recipe to the queue, and select Start to begin making it.
- Wait until the bait has been created and collect it.
5 batches of fish bait are made for each one processed in the bait maker.
1.3. What to Do With Fabled Species
Once you’ve harvested or caught a Fabled Species for the first time, you first priority should be to use Strengthen Fabled Bond on your companion to build your Fabled Bond, which unlocks new perks such as new abilities, shorter traveling time, and increased stamina.
You can continue to acquire any Fabled Species so you can sell them for good money at the merchants, or feed your companion for stamina.
2. All Fabled Crops in Galaxy Glaciers
Altogether, Galaxy Glaciers in Collector’s Cove includes 7 Fabled Crops to find. This is different to other regions, as there are no extra crops to unlock as you level up as a Collector. All crops are available from the beginning.
Important Note #1: Remember to add fertilizer to all crops when attempting to produce a Fabled Crop, or it won’t appear.
Important Note #2: Fertilizer used for Galaxy Glaciers crops require resources from the other regions, so make sure to stock up during your travels so you’re not short on anything.
2.1. Art-Ichoke
- Crop: Artichoke
- Fertilizer Resources: Cranberry, Zander, Sun Perch
2.1.1. Fabled Condition for Art-Ichoke
To produce an Art-Ichoke, you need to grow 3 different colored crops next to your Artichoke. Unless you have Farming Rank 25, you can only grow crops from Galaxy Glaciers.
A good selection of different-colored crops include:
- Carrot (orange)
- Cranberry (red)
- Broccoli (green)
Have your Artichoke in the center of a 9 x 9 planter, then have the 3 other crops on different sides surrounding it. This way, you’ll be sure to get an Art-Ichoke.
2.2. Broccosmic
- Crop: Broccoli
- Fertilizer Resources: Pomegranate, Starfish, Cobia
2.2.1. Fabled Condition for Broccosmic
To get a Broccosmic, you just need to let your Broccoli crop continue to grow 24 hours after being harvestable. Basically, once it’s harvestable, keep it watered. It will eventually turn into a Broccosmic when 24 hours is up. Keep an eye on it and don’t let it dry out.
2.3. Carrocket
- Crop: Carrot
- Fertilizer Resources: Wheat, Barracuda, Ray
2.3.1. Fabled Condition for Carrocket
To transform a Carrot into a Carrocket, wait until the Carrot crop becomes harvestable. You then need to enter the pause menu of Collector’s Cove and select “I’m Stuck“, making sure you’re near the Carrot crop when you do this. After a few seconds, you’ll respawn by your companion. This should successfully procure a Carrocket.
2.4. Kiwioid
- Crop: Kiwi
- Fertilizer Resources: Tangerine, Sun Perch, Starfish
2.4.1. Fabled Condition for Kiwioid
To get a Kiwi to turn into a Kiwioid, you need to wait until your Kiwi crop becomes harvestable, then wait for a meteor shower to arrive.
Meteor showers occur every few nights in all the regions of Collector’s Cove. However, there’s no way of predicting when they’ll take place. You just need to be patient and wait. Meteor showers only happen at night, so when night arrives, look to the sky. You’ll see stars raining down, and hear distinctive high-pitched whooshing sounds. Meteor showers last a few hours until dawn.
For the Kiwioid, leave the harvestable Kiwi, and when a meteor shower arrives, it should automatically become a Kiwioid.
2.5. Starberry
- Crop: Cranberry
- Fertilizer Resources: Broccoli, Zander, Cobia
2.5.1. Fabled Condition for Starberry
To get a Cranberry into a Starberry, you need the use of a Telescope. Take these steps:

- Place the Telescope on your boat near the Cranberry crop.
- Use the Telescope to look through it. Look directly at the Cranberry. If done right, it should turn into a Starberry.

Use the Telescope to focus on the Cranberry crop. If it doesn’t work the first time, try moving the Telescope.
2.6. Pommetheus
- Crop: Pomegranate
- Fertilizer Resources: Broccoli, Lake Trout, Ray
2.6.1. Fabled Condition for Pommetheus
To get Pommetheus to replace your Pomegranate, you need to have 3 different galaxy-themed decorations on your boat.
You can purchase Galaxy Glaciers decorations from the Secret Seller, providing you have the resources. Get at least 3 of any, then place them on your boat. You cannot just place the same object 3 times; the decorations must be different.
2.7. Pinwheel Tangerine
- Crop: Tangerine
- Fertilizer Resources: Carrot, Zander, Barracuda
2.7.1. Fabled Condition for Pinwheel Tangerine
To get a Tangerine tree to turn into a Pinwheel Tangerine, it requires a little work, patience, and lots of traveling. With your Tangerine tree harvestable, you need to travel to all four regions in Collector’s Cove, staying in each one for at least 24 hours. If done right, it should become a Pinwheel Tangerine.
3. All Fabled Fish in Galaxy Glaciers
You can find 7 Fabled Fish altogether in Galaxy Glaciers in Collector’s Cove, the same number as Fabled Crops, since you cannot access more from leveling up. Everything is available from the start, waiting to be caught and added to your Collector’s Compendium.
Important Note #1: Do not forget your bait when fishing for Fabled Fish, or they won’t appear.

Providing you have both bait and do it immediately, if you change into the Christmas sweater, not only can you get the Zander Klaus, but also the Moon Sailorfish in quick succession, as they are both caught in ponds. Just remember to swap baits for the appropriate fish.
3.3. Milkyway Trout
- Fish: Lake Trout
- Size: Large
- Source: Freshwater
- Time of day: 15.00 – 06.00
- Bait Resources: Broccoli, Tangerine, Lake Trout
3.3.1. Fabled Condition for Milkyway Trout
To catch a Milkyway Trout, this requires a trip to a treasure island in Galaxy Glaciers. If you look around the island, you might spot a floating water bubble in the air. If you cast your fishing rod into this airborne bubble, you should catch a Milkyway Trout. Once you catch this fish, the bubble will disappear.
3.4. Shooting Starfish
- Fish: Starfish
- Size: Small
- Source: Saltwater
- Time of day: All day
- Bait Resources: Kiwi, Artichoke, Ray
3.4.1. Fabled Condition for Shooting Starfish
In order to catch a Shooting Starfish, you must wait until nightfall when there’s a chance a meteor shower takes place. You can catch the Shooting Starfish during a meteor shower.
Meteor showers happen every few nights and there’s no way of telling when they’ll take place. Just keep an eye on the skies at night and look for shooting stars and a high-pitched whooshing sound. When it starts, have your bait ready to catch the Shooting Starfish.
3.5. Blackhole Fish
- Fish: Cobia
- Size: Medium
- Source: Saltwater
- Time of day: 05.00 – 20.00
- Bait Resources: Carrot, Artichoke, Starfish
3.5.1. Fabled Condition for Blackhole Fish
For a Blackhole Fish to appear, you need to have at least 500 items in various storage chests on your boat. Hopefully, you’ve acquired and stored a variety of resources during your travels in Collector’s Cove. If not, get collecting!
If you haven’t yet, add some storage chests to your boat, then collect and store items in them. These can include a variety of items, such as:
- Natural resources such as wood, rock, fiber, dirt, and sand.
- Ore and ingot, including copper, silver, gold, and galaxy.
- Standard fish, excellent-quality fish, and Fabled Fish.
- Standard crops, excellent-quality crops, and Fabled Crops.
- Crop seeds, fertilizer, and bait.
Remember that these items stack up in your inventory, and this counts towards the 500 target. The easiest type of items to reach this number are natural resources such as wood, rock, and fiber, so concentrate on visiting islands and gathering these resources. Return to your boat and add them to your storage chests.
Once you have at least 500 items in your storage chests, you can catch the Blackhole Fish.
3.6. Galacuda

- Place the Telescope on your boat. Make sure your view isn’t obscured by crops such as trees.
- Look through the Telescope and look up at the sky until you see the moon.
- Focus on the moon and zoom in on it until it suddenly moves away. You should hear a sound cue.
- Exit the Telescope and look to the front of your boat. A new fish shadow should be there. Cast your fishing line and catch this fish. It should be the Starray.

After viewing the moon with the Telescope, the Starray will be waiting to be caught at the front of your boat.
4. Final Tips for Galaxy Glaciers Fabled Species in Collector’s Cove
That’s all the Fabled Species you can grow and catch in Galaxy Glaciers in Collector’s Cove. This should hopefully get you closer to becoming a Named Collector. To finish off, we’ll end with some useful tips:
- Don’t forget to add fertilizer to plants you’re trying to transform into Fabled Crops. Also, try keeping them watered and maintained, specifically for the Brocossmic to appear.
- Don’t neglect to use bait when fishing, or you won’t be able to catch those Fabled Fish. Also be aware of the fish’s water source and the time of day they typically appear.
- During your travels, make sure to stock up on all fish and crops, so you’re not short on anything for your fertilizer and bait recipes, as well as Secret Seller purchases.
- When you first acquire a Fabled Species, don’t forget to give it to your companion via Strengthen Fabled Bond to rank up and gain new perks.
- Try to use your leftover bait and fertilizer to get more excellent-quality or Fabled Species, which you can feed your companion for stamina or sell for good money.
