Caravan SandWitch is full of quirky fetch quests, and one of the most memorable early missions is “Tetos on the Run” — a task where you must rescue six runaway Tetos. These adorable baby Reinetos will only follow you once you feed them mushrooms, which are much harder to locate than the Tetos themselves. This complete guide covers every Teto location, where to find all six mushrooms, how to feed and rescue Tetos, and how to complete the quest step-by-step.
1. How to Start the “Tetos on the Run” Quest
The “Tetos on the Run” quest becomes available in Chapter 2 once you’ve unlocked the Croaking Forest and made your way to the Reineto cave. To enter the cave, you must complete a quick objective: destroy the nearby signal jammer. Use your van’s antenna to locate it — look for a pulsing red signal on a nearby hillside.
Once inside the massive mushroom-filled cave, a group of Tetos (baby Reinetos) flee the cavern, prompting Fuscus to ask you for help. The quest will now appear in your tracked objectives under Toaster. Don’t worry — it’s not time-limited, so you can finish it anytime.
- Those Tetos are cute little runaway rascals.
- Where there’s a grave, there’s a mushroom.
2. Where to Find All Tetos in Caravan SandWitch
All 6 Teto Locations
Although mushrooms aren’t marked on your map, the game does mark all six Teto locations for you. They’re small, turquoise tadpole-like creatures that contrast well with the earthy terrain of Cigalo, making them easy to spot.
- Teto #1: Just outside the Reineto cave in a small clearing.
- Teto #2: On a cliff above the cave, overlooking the clearing.
- Teto #3: Between the GeopenQuarry and the Residential Area.
- Teto #4: Near a Reineto grave by the Aqueduct.
- Teto #5: At the Wind Turbine Transporter, up on a cliff.
- Teto #6: In a tunnel near Rose’s Retreat.
Note: While Tetos are sometimes near mushrooms, this isn’t always the case — you’ll need to gather mushrooms separately.
- The first Teto is right outside the cave.
- The second Teto is found near the first one outside the cave on a cliff.
- A Teto is located not far from the GeopenQuarry and Residential Area.
- The Teto at the Aqueduct grave is on a rock next to it.
- Look up on the cliffs of the Wind Turbine Transformer to find this Teto.
- The Teto near Rose’s Retreat is hiding in a cave tunnel.
3. Where to Find All Mushrooms for the Tetos
How Mushroom Collection Works
Each Teto requires one mushroom to be rescued. Mushrooms do not respawn and can only be picked once. They are only found near Reineto grave sites — massive and visible, often surrounded by turquoise mushrooms. Among them is a dull green mushroom you can collect for your inventory.
All Reineto Grave Locations with Mushrooms
- Estello Village: Exit toward the sea and look to your right for a grave and mushroom.
- Croaking Forest: Near the Reineto cave, close to the forest edge.
- GeopenQuarry: Among the abandoned trucks, next to the road.
- Aqueduct: At the grave site near where one Teto is also located.
- Labotech Area: This grave has two mushrooms instead of one, making it crucial for completing the set.
That brings your total to six mushrooms — one for each Teto.
- The grave site outside Estello Village.
- The grave as seen in the Croaking Forest.
- The GeopenQuarry’s grave site with mushroom.
- The Aqueduct grave has both a mushroom and a Teto.
- The Labotech grave site is notable for having two mushrooms.
- The grave site near the Labotech.
4. How to Feed Tetos With Mushrooms to Rescue Them
Once you’ve collected all six mushrooms, it’s time to start rescuing the Tetos. Here’s how:
- Approach a marked Teto location on your map.
- Interact with the Teto — it will not flee.
- Feed it a mushroom when prompted.
- The Teto will disappear in a puff of smoke and be considered rescued.
Note: You must have mushrooms in your inventory — if you run out, you won’t be able to continue the quest.
5. How to Complete the Quest After Rescuing All Tetos
After you’ve rescued all six Tetos, check your quest tracker in Toaster. It will instruct you to return to Fuscus in the Reineto cave (Croaking Forest). Head back there, and you’ll find the Tetos happily reunited with their family. Fuscus and the other Reinetos will thank you for your help — and you’ll complete the quest!
6. FAQ – Tetos on the Run Quest
Can I complete this quest later in the game?
Yes. The quest is not time-limited and remains available after Chapter 2.
Do mushrooms respawn?
No. Each mushroom is a one-time pickup tied to Reineto graves only.
What happens if I feed a mushroom to the wrong Teto?
There’s no wrong order — as long as you have one mushroom per Teto, you’re good to go.
How can I find Reineto graves faster?
Use your van’s scanner near cliffs and rocky terrain. Look for large, buried figures and turquoise mushroom clusters — those usually mark grave sites.
