The “Tetos on the Run” quest becomes available in Chapter 2 once you’ve unlocked the Croaking Forest and made your way to the Reineto cave. To enter the cave, you must complete a quick objective: destroy the nearby signal jammer. Use your van’s antenna to locate it — look for a pulsing red signal on a nearby hillside.
Once inside the massive mushroom-filled cave, a group of Tetos (baby Reinetos) flee the cavern, prompting Fuscus to ask you for help. The quest will now appear in your tracked objectives under Toaster. Don’t worry — it’s not time-limited, so you can finish it anytime.

Although mushrooms aren’t marked on your map, the game does mark all six Teto locations for you. They’re small, turquoise tadpole-like creatures that contrast well with the earthy terrain of Cigalo, making them easy to spot.

- Teto #1: Just outside the Reineto cave in a small clearing.
- Teto #2: On a cliff above the cave, overlooking the clearing.
- Teto #3: Between the GeopenQuarry and the Residential Area.
- Teto #4: Near a Reineto grave by the Aqueduct.
- Teto #5: At the Wind Turbine Transporter, up on a cliff.
- Teto #6: In a tunnel near Rose’s Retreat.
Note: While Tetos are sometimes near mushrooms, this isn’t always the case — you’ll need to gather mushrooms separately.

3. Where to Find All Mushrooms for the Tetos
How Mushroom Collection Works
Each Teto requires one mushroom to be rescued. Mushrooms do not respawn and can only be picked once. They are only found near Reineto grave sites — massive and visible, often surrounded by turquoise mushrooms. Among them is a dull green mushroom you can collect for your inventory.
Buried Reinetos are huge and hard to miss, making locating their grave a little easier.

4. How to Feed Tetos With Mushrooms to Rescue Them
Once you’ve collected all six mushrooms, it’s time to start rescuing the Tetos. Here’s how:
- Approach a marked Teto location on your map.
- Interact with the Teto — it will not flee.
- Feed it a mushroom when prompted.
- The Teto will disappear in a puff of smoke and be considered rescued.
Note: You must have mushrooms in your inventory — if you run out, you won’t be able to continue the quest.

5. How to Complete the Quest After Rescuing All Tetos
After you’ve rescued all six Tetos, check your quest tracker in Toaster. It will instruct you to return to Fuscus in the Reineto cave (Croaking Forest).
