Activision returns strong with the sixth installment of Black Ops. In addition to its campaign and multiplayer mode, players are diving head first into the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This world and its various maps are filled with secrets. Here, we will focus on Liberty Falls and its puzzles.
The Zombies mode was first introduced in Call of Duty: World at War in 2008, but it was with Call of Duty: Black Ops in 2010 that the mode gained widespread popularity. Since then, the franchise has developed intricate storylines, diverse maps, and engaging gameplay mechanics. Black Ops 6 continues this tradition.
Build the Thrustodyne M23 (JetGun) on Liberty Falls
The church in Liberty Falls on Black Ops 6 is a must-visit location. To access it, you’ll need to make your way to the top of the town. After battling through waves of zombies and sweating it out for several rounds, you’ll have collected enough Essence to unlock the doors leading to the hill. Once there, the church will loom ahead of you. On the right side of the screen, you’ll notice a machine that must be activated. Afterward, Panos will appear on-screen, delivering crucial information needed to advance and complete this Easter egg.
To get your hands on this incredibly powerful and highly useful weapon, you have two options. You can either rely on sheer luck by pulling it from the Mystery Box, or you can build it yourself. Crafting it is, of course, the most reliable way to obtain it, but the process is extremely lengthy and tedious.
The Steps to Build the Thrustodyne M23 on Bo6
1. First, locate the hydraulic valve on Washington Avenue, at the base of the florist shop Lily’s Flowerpot.
2. Once you’ve secured the hydraulic valve, retrieve the pressure gauge and attach the valve to it. The gauge is mounted on the wall to the right of the bowling alley. To connect them, hold the interaction button on the valve and begin increasing the pressure—all while fending off waves of zombies. This task can be quite challenging, so it’s highly recommended to have a second player assist. The goal is to rapidly increase the pressure without being overwhelmed. Survive the zombie onslaught until the pressure gauge reaches its maximum. After several intense minutes, the gauge will eventually reach the required pressure and detach. You can then collect it and proceed with building the Thrustodyne M23. Also, don’t forget to shoot the billiard balls nearby; doing so will grant you a bit of extra Essence.
3. Next, head to the machine located to the right of the church to trigger the cutscene with the one and only Panos.
4. Next, head to the cemetery where you’ll need to eliminate the Zombie Gardener. Don’t worry, he’s almost harmless. He typically appears after the cutscene, in the cemetery, not far from the church. He will only spawn in this area. If, by chance, he doesn’t appear right after the cutscene (which can happen), you’ll need to survive a few more rounds before he emerges from the ground. Once you’ve taken down the zombie with the green sprouts, he will drop his keys, which are crucial for obtaining the second piece of the JetGun.
5. Near the Zombie Gardener’s corpse, you’ll find a garden shed. Use the keys to unlock the door and collect the handbrake.
6. On wave 10, you’ll have the opportunity to open the Radio House shop. Using the previously purchased Mangler Cannon, you’ll need to aim and fire a charge at the grate covering the store. This will unlock the doors. Once inside, look for the electrical cables scattered among the debris on the floor. These are the third and final item needed to construct the JetGun.
7. Once you’ve collected all the crafting materials, head to the second floor of the Motel. One of the rooms will release a horde of zombies that you’ll need to shred. After clearing the area and eliminating all the undead, you can construct the Thrustodyne Model 23 on the crafting table.
Building the essential PTL for the Secret of Liberty Falls in Bo6
With the Thrustodyne M23, you can collect and suck up the pieces needed to build the PTL, a portal generator that’s essential for progressing through Liberty Falls. You can find the pieces in three distinct locations:
- On the ceiling of Olly’s Comics.
- Near Panos on the mezzanine of the Black Ether Church.
- By jumping onto the truck above Speed Cola and sucking up the piece located in the window on the first floor of Buzz’s Cuts.
Once you’ve gathered all three pieces, head to the roof of the bank where you’ll find the workbench to assemble the PTL. You’ll also need to collect the Ether Tank, which is located on the same machine you saw earlier in the Church area.
Portal and Priority Target
Once you have the PTL and its essential Ether Tank, you’ll need to place it under one of the Ether Storms. This will allow you to neutralize the priority target using the Ether Trap.
With the enemy trapped, you’ll be able to eliminate them easily, even though the Ether Tank will significantly slow you down. After taking down the target, you must carry the tank to the church. Keep in mind, this process is timed, so don’t get lost along the way.
Strauss Counter and Radar Calibration
The Strauss Counter is located on the machine in the Liberty Falls Church. With it, you’ll be able to generate a new Ether Tank.
Once equipped with the Counter, you’ll need to locate the three radars scattered across the map. The first is near the cemetery, next to the shed, the second is on the roof of the bowling alley, and the third is near PhD. After finding them, you can begin the calibration process, but it’s far from intuitive. If the Strauss Counter lights up green, the camera should be set to red. If it displays red, the camera should be green. If the counter turns orange, the camera should also be set to orange. Once the cameras are properly calibrated, they’ll light up, revealing the location of the second Ether Tank.
The Second Priority Target
As with the first one, you need to summon and lure the target into the Ether Trap. Once again, eliminate the target while dealing with the same constraints, and finish by sucking up its soul to charge the tank. After completing this final step, you can finally reach the end of the Easter egg by placing the charged tank in the church. You also have multiple attempts; simply pass a round to summon the target again.
The End of Liberty Falls in Call of Duty Black Ops 6
After surviving hundreds of hungry zombies in the church, your adventure in Liberty Falls can come to an end… unless you choose to continue playing and try to beat your own record. This display of courage and bravery will be rewarded, and you’ll see a high-quality reward drop appear on the roof where you assembled the PTL. Expect legendary weapons or Ether fragments to be part of the drop.
Bonus : Aetherella Statues on Bo6
Pour la phase finale et le long combat dans l’église, vous pouvez vous rendre la tâche plus facile, en récupérerant des figurines se trouvant sur la map pour vous transformer en une déesse aux yeux lazer, Aetherella.
For the final phase and the intense battle in the church, you can make things easier by collecting statues scattered around the map. These will allow you to transform into a powerful goddess with laser eyes, Aetherella.
To do this, once again, you must use the JetGun to suck up the statues located at these 5 spots:
Statue 1: Placed on the sign of the Motel.
Statue 2: Near Speed Cola and the florist, inside a window on the left side of a red brick building.
Statue 3: On a stained glass window of the church, positioned on the right side of the building.
Statue 4: At the Bowling Alley, under the “Liberty Lane” sign.
Statue 5: Between two ventilation units on a roof. To access it, use the orange zipline near the florist. The roof is across from a store named Godwin’s Attic.
Next, there are the four statues inside the Comic Shop, where you’ll also find a piece of the PTL. You’ll find one near the back door, another next to the electric trap, one in front on the shop’s display window, and the last one up high near Quick Revive.
We recommend saving the last statue, located on the stained glass window, by luring it into the church but not sucking it up. This way, you can suck it up for good during the final confrontation and use all of Aetherella’s power to make the last battle easier.
