Released on October 24, 2024, Black Ops 6 has proven to be a massive commercial hit. With its stunning visuals and satisfying gameplay, it’s easily one of the standout games of the year. Beyond the campaign and multiplayer modes, the Zombies mode captivates players with its wealth of hidden secrets. One of the most valuable is the “Treasure Hunter” Easter Egg, which allows you to start your match on the Terminus map armed with legendary weapons, ready to annihilate waves of the undead. Here’s how to unlock this achievement, secure the Cursed Talisman, and complete the Dark Ops mission (a special operation).

The Beginning of the Treasure Hunter Trophy on Black Ops 6 Zombies
This achievement will awaken the adventurer within you. You’ll embark on a quest for a lost treasure hidden on the Terminus map in Black Ops 6, leading you to uncover the mysterious Cursed Talisman. Unlocking this achievement unfolds across three distinct stages. Hopefully, you’re not too superstitious.
The first stage of your journey begins in the Sea Cave. Start by exploring the dark, damp tunnels, keeping your eyes peeled. On your left, not far from the Speed Cola machine, you’ll spot a hole in the rock, blocked by stalactites. If you take a moment to peer inside, you’ll notice a map resting on what looks like a stone pedestal, alongside a skeleton lounging comfortably on the floor.
At first glance, this might seem like just another piece of environmental decoration, but in reality, you can break through the rock to gain access. To do this, you’ll need the new perk introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Melee Macchiato Perk-a-Cola, which grants you devastating punch attacks. You can find it in the Biological Lab, down the stairs, at the far end on your left.
Now that you’ve acquired Herculean strength, head back to the Sea Cave to smash through the stalactites. Once the rock is destroyed, interact with the skeleton. This will trigger the Treasure Hunter trophy, officially kicking off your adventure.
Items to Collect for Unlocking Legendary Weapons in BO6 on Terminus
Your guide will be Captain Gregg, a stern but kind mentor. After delivering his monologue, look to the left side of the map near the corpse—you’ll spot a small red cross. This marks the location of the first item. Place a marker on your map at the indicated spot, board your boat, and navigate through the darkness and fog to your destination. Beneath the water’s surface, you’ll notice a faint yellow glow. That’s your first objective—dive down and retrieve the watch.
After taking the watch back to Captain Gregg, you’ll notice that the map on the stone pedestal has updated. Three new points of interest will now be displayed. Before heading to these locations, make sure to equip yourself with three Molotov cocktails. You can craft this incendiary weapon at the engineering workbench near the Sea Tower, using some gathered materials.
The Locations of the Three Skeletons on Terminus
- The first point is located on the wrecked ship. Climb aboard the stranded vessel, and in the middle, you’ll find a skeleton slumped against the mast. Equip a Molotov cocktail and, without getting burned, toss it at the poor skeleton. Suddenly, a Mangler will burst from the ground. Take it down and collect the Cursed Coin it drops. Be warned: once you pick up this item, your health regeneration will be disabled. To make things easier, it’s recommended to leave one zombie alive at the end of the round. This way, you can avoid fighting a full horde while you’re unable to regenerate health. Once you’ve secured the coin, your next step is clear: bring it back to the ever-watchful Captain Gregg.
- The second location is on the Temple Island. Once again, you’ll need to toss a Molotov cocktail—this time at the skeleton lying in front of the cave. Doing so will summon another Mangler. Defeat the beast and collect the Cursed Coin it drops. As always, return the coin to Captain Gregg to progress further.
- The third and final location is on Castle Rock Island, situated on the right side of the map. The skeleton, partially buried in sand, can be found near a blue power transformer and a small light. Repeat the process one last time: toss a Molotov cocktail, defeat the Mangler, and collect the Cursed Coin it drops.
Now that Captain Gregg is satisfied with the three Cursed Coins in hand, he will reward you by offering several legendary weapons. This will come in handy as you begin your journey on the Terminus map in Black Ops 6, giving you a powerful edge to take on the waves of zombies.
Find the Cursed Talisman on Terminus in Bo6
You could stop here, but it would be a shame to leave the journey unfinished. Your adventurer’s spirit is far from done with this achievement, as you must now find the infamous Cursed Talisman. It’s located on Crab Island, directly across from the docks. To unlock this precious treasure, you’ll need to survive three rounds on this small island. This should be easy now that you’re armed with your legendary weapons.
After battling dozens of hungry undead, blue lightning bolts will crack through the sky. Follow them, they will lead you to the location of the treasure. Once you reach it, you’ll finally obtain the long-desired Cursed Talisman. Not only will this grant you the Treasure Hunter achievement, but it will also unlock a new special ability. From now on, you’ll be able to dodge certain zombie attacks while earning double points. The only downside is that the talisman will drain 10% of your points every time you’re hit. But it’s definitely worth it, as it makes it much easier to progress through the hordes of zombies.
The Dark Ops and the Yo Ho Ho Calling Card
The Cursed Talisman is crucial to earn the Yo Ho Ho Calling Card. To unlock it, you’ll need to collect 20,000 Essence without taking any damage, all while equipped with the talisman. This might sound challenging, but with an explosive weapon like the iconic Mustang & Sally, completing this Dark Ops challenge will be a breeze.
