The Assault build in Battlefield 6 revolves around mastering close and mid-range combat. Choosing the attachments and equipment that focus on handling fast reactions is crucial. Our Assault build allows you to lead your squad into hostile territory. Locate enemy positions to launch surprise attacks and gain the upper hand.
1. Assault Class Overview
The Assault class is designed to be the ultimate frontline fighter, specializing in pushing objectives, breaching defenses, and eliminating threats up close.
Signature Gadget: Adrenaline Injector – Boosts movement speed and slightly increases health regeneration, allowing you to dive into fights and sustain in close-range combat.
Signature Weapon: Assault Rifles – Balanced weapons with high accuracy and fast handling, perfect for taking fights at close and mid-range. The Assault class also benefits from a unique trait that allows equipping an extra primary weapon for tactical flexibility.
1.1 Training Paths
There are two training paths for the Assault class:
- Breacher: Focuses on close-quarters engagements and room clearing.
- Frontliner (Recommended): Specializes in aggressive mid-range combat and squad leadership.
1.2 Frontliner Perks
- Rally Squad: You and nearby squad members gain a temporary adrenaline effect. Its effect on you can be extended with kills.
- Quick Recovery: Passive health regeneration triggers 50% faster and provides a 50% improvement on healing.
- Soft Loading: Reduced impact from falling or jumping from heights.
- Adrenaline Rush: Teammates that deploy on you gain the effects of the Adrenaline Injector for 2s. Effects also apply to you or teammates when deploying on your Deploy Beacon.
2. Main Weapon: NVO-228E Assault Rifle
NVO-228E is the best all-around weapon for the Assault class build in Battlefield 6. This is a hard-hitting, precise assault rifle with 33 damage per shot, excellent control, and exceptional mid-range stability. You can excel in mid-range engagements and competitive fights, making it a top-tier AR in the game. Its forgiving recoil and reliable headshot potential make it a favorite for players who value accuracy and consistency over the rough fire rate.
- Main Weapon: NVO-228E Assault Rifle
- Muzzle: Compensated Brake
- Barrel: 409mm Standard
- Underbarrel: Full Angled
- Magazine: 40RND Magazine
- Ammo Type: Full Metal Jacket
- Scope: CCO 2.00x
How to Use: Pre-aim corners and fire in short bursts to maintain accuracy. Combine your shots with tactical movement — push under smoke or after suppressive fire from Support teammates.
3. Sidearm: P18 Pistol
P18 is a decent backup sidearm for quick close-range encounters. It runs a moderate fire rate, 399 RPM, and a small magazine of 17 rounds, and even a decent damage at 25 per shot. Its best use cases are emergencies, so finishing off weak enemies after you run your main mag dry or using it to stay mobile while sprinting between cover. One thing that newer players overlook is that P18 benefits heavily from aiming for the upper torso or head at close range. It can secure a surprisingly quick kill.
- Sidearm: P18 Pistol
- Barrel: 3.9″ Pencil
- Muzzle: Standard Suppressor
- Ammo Type: Full Metal Jacket
- Magazine: 17RND Magazine
- Scope: Mini Flex 1.00x
4. Additional Weapon: M87A1 Shotgun
M87A1 Shotgun in Battlefield 6 is arguably one of the strongest weapons, making it another best choice for the Assault build. Its 100 damage per shot allows one-shot kills at close range with the ability to secure mid-range kills with precise follow-ups. The fast-paced action cycle and high precision for a shotgun make it borderline broken in checkpoints and interior fights. It’s very similar to the Mosberg 590, making it easy to use efficiently for both casual and competitive players.
- Weapon: M87A1 (Shotgun)
- Muzzle: CQB Suppressor
- Magazine: 7 Shell Tube
- Ammo Type: Flechette
- Top Accessory: 5 MW Red
- Iron Sights: Iron Sights
- Barrel: 20″ Factory
5. Primary Gadget: SPH Explosive Launcher
A powerful sticky grenade launcher used for area denial and flushing enemies out of cover. It’s highly effective against infantry and light vehicles but less effective against heavy armor.
5.1 Tips for Using SPH Launcher:
- Fire into windows, doors, or behind cover to clear rooms.
- Use it to damage open-seat vehicles or disrupt enemy positions.
- Combine with your rifle to finish off weakened enemies.
5.2 Additional Gadgets:
- Deploy Beacon: Ideal for spawning teammates close to objectives.
- Assault Ladder: Use to access rooftops or flanking routes.
6. Training Path: Frontliner
Frontliner is the best field spec for the Assault build, allowing you to push aggressively. Spearhead the assault and carve a path through enemy infantry.
- Control mid-range encounters with your M433 Assault Rifle.
- Secure a tactical deployment position for your squad with your Deploy Beacon.
- Clear rooms with your Breaching Projectile Launcher.
- Combine Adrenaline Injector and Frontliner perks to sustain under fire.
- Frontliner training enhances fighting capabilities and survivability.
7. Best Assault Loadouts for Beginners
These beginner builds heavily focus on Breakthrough battles to help you push objectives for your team. Start with the M433 AR with a 1X optics to help you hold close to mid-range sites. As you level up your weapons, you can better the AR recoil control to further optimize objective push with the Assault class.
7.1 Beginner Weapon: M433 AR
M433 in Battlefield 6 has a pretty good hipfire while still having unbelievably good recoil and full mini-map stealth. You will not be spotted with this. This is one of the faster-firing assault rifles, so we’re going for a little bit of a closer-range to mid-range assault build. The close-range time to kill of this one is actually faster than many of the SMGs, but the recoil isn’t the best.
- Main Weapon: M433 AR- Suffers from side-to-side bounce in its recoil.
- Optic: R-MR 1.00X – offers a clear sight picture and a low profile during combat.
- Top Accessory: 5 MW Green Laser- helps you with your hipfire accuracy.
- Barrel: Short 14.5” Standard- a nice middle ground for this build, and remains constant in more situations.
- Muzzle: Flash Hider- helps ward off 3D spotting and reduces the range of minimap spotting.
- Underbarrel: Alloy Vertical- cuts down on recoil without any disadvantages.
- Magazine: 30RND Magazine- it has a faster reload speed and the same ammo count.
- Ammunition: Standard FMJ- improves the weapon’s bullet velocity, making it more effective at longer ranges
- Ergonomics: Magwell Flare- lets you reload while aiming down sights.
7.2 Sidearm: M45A1 Pistol
The M45A1 pistol is a good sidearm for an assault build due to its high damage per shot. However, its small magazine size may require an extended mag attachment to compensate. This pistol serves as a solid upgrade from the starting pistol and is capable of quickly eliminating enemies. Due to its small magazine, you may need to switch back to your primary weapon or reload frequently.
- Muzzle: CQB Suppressor
- Barrel: 5″ Pencil
- Ergonomics: Mag Catch
7.3 M1014 Shotgun (Gadget One)
M1014 Shotgun is a good gadget for a close-quarters assault build in Battlefield 6. It offers a balance of power and a semi-automatic fire rate. It is especially effective for clearing buildings and tight spaces. This weapon can be further improved with attachments like a suppressor for stealth. M1014’s faster fire rate makes it more forgiving.
- Muzzle: CQB Suppressor
- Barrel: 18.5″ Factory
- Right Accessory: 120 MW Blue
- Magazine: 6 Shell Tube
- Ammo Type: Buckshot
- Underbarrel: Folding Vertical
- Scope: Basic Sight
7.4 Thermobaric Grenade Launcher (Gadget two)
The Thermobaric Grenade Launcher is best considered in an assault build because it excels at breaching, dealing area-of-effect damage, and stunning enemies.
- It is highly effective against clustered enemies by stunning them and applying damage over time.
- You can use it to deny enemies access to certain areas, especially when they are behind cover.
- It can be combined with other offensive gadgets like Frag grenades for a powerful combo.
7.5 Flash Grenade (Throwable)
Flash grenades are ideal for pushing into areas, as they blind enemies inside and create an opening for you.
- The flash blinds enemies, significantly disrupting their ability to see and aim.
- The assault class is designed for aggressive, close-quarters combat, and the flash grenade perfectly complements this.
- It helps you overwhelm enemies in tight spaces.
8. Map-Based Loadout Swaps for Assault Build
These loadouts specialize based on game modes and maps for both All-out-Warfare, like Conquest, and holding smaller sites and objectives in Breakthrough.
8.1 Tight Infantry Maps
- Primary: NVO-228E for mid-range and M87A1 for one shot in close range.
- Gadget 2: SPH Explosive Launcher to eliminate multiple enemies.
- Throwable: Smoke to revive or to cut sniper sightlines.
- Field Upgrade: Frontliner to equip an extra primary weapon.
8.2 Open / Hybrid Maps
- Primary: M433 to dominate enemies in open combat. R-MR 1.00X and 30RND Magazine for continuous fire.
- Gadget 2: Portable Mortar for bombarding objectives from a safe distance.
- Throwable: Frag Grenade for dealing direct damage to enemies. Use it to clear out rooms indirectly or to finish off opponents.
- Field Upgrade: Frontliner to gain a temporary adrenaline effect. Its effect on you can be extended with kills.
9. How To Play Assault Class
The Assault class in Battlefield 6 is specifically designed for pushing objectives, clearing rooms, and holding choke points. It has excellent mid- to close-range firepower and fast tactical sprint speed.
Assault Class Beginner Tips
- Engage at the Right Range: Use an assault rifle for medium-distance encounters. When breaching buildings or entering tight areas, switch to a shotgun for quick eliminations.
- Control Your Recoil: Staying accurate is key. Focus on recoil control attachments to maintain precision during sustained fire.
- Avoid Open Areas: Don’t sprint across open fields without support or suppression. Use cover-to-cover movement and smoke grenades from teammates to stay protected.
- Use Explosives Strategically: Deploy your launcher to destroy enemy cover, vehicles, or force opponents to reposition during defense.
- Leverage Tactical Gadgets: Use ladders or spawn beacons to reach elevated positions or flank behind enemy lines. This gives you a major tactical advantage during chaotic firefights.
- Stay Alive with Adrenaline or Injectors: Keep adrenaline shots or injectors ready to heal and sustain yourself during prolonged battles or pushes.
- Play Smart with Cover: Always use available cover and ambush angles to outsmart opponents instead of rushing in head-on.
- Use Smoke for Positioning: Utilize smoke grenades or team smokes to block sightlines and move through exposed areas safely.
- Flank Instead of Rushing: Take advantage of alternate paths to flank enemies from the sides or rear rather than charging directly into their line of fire.
- Coordinate with Your Squad: Stick close to your team, split enemy focus, and provide constant pressure near capture zones to maintain map control.
