Don’t Attack. Plan It Out

Assassin’s Creed Mirage throws it back to the stealth gameplay of the earlier entries. This means that you can’t barge into enemy camps and take them out via combat. The best tip to give is to to plan out what you’re going to do before entering it. The best method is to use Basim’s bird companion, Enkidu, and eagle vision. Use Enkidu to scout out the entire area and cover your ground to see how many guards there are and if there are any treasures. Then Eagle Vision can cover your ground with identifying guards up close.

Flight Not Fight

There will be some instances where you’re going to attract attention and guards will try to attack. Besides the instances where the game forces you to fight for story missions, I recommend you do the opposite any chance you get. The enemy AI won’t attack one by one in a crowd but will have multiple soldiers trying to kill you. As you try to fight them off, even more guards will come as the alarm sounds off. It’s just better to run and try to lose them. You can always get rid of your notoriety and try again later.

Whistle To Attract Guards

Whistling has always been a staple for the franchise, but never felt better than Mirage. It’s the easiest way to attract guards, take them out, and not have anyone noticing. Even if there are two guards at a station, always one guard will check out the noise. Just hide behind a corner or in a haystack/flower bed for the best coverage. Since you’ll need to be more stealthy, it’s the perfect way to elongate your enemies one by one.

Pickpocket A Lot

Pickpocketing is back in a big way with Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It’s integral to some missions and to recover all of Dervis’ Artifacts. Players can pickpocket the people of Baghdad in the meantime and you should do it as much as you can. Not only can you get a bit of money, but some valuable items as well. Crafting material trinkets that you can sell for a lot of money, and even tokens like Power and Merchant tokens.

Always Have Your Notoriety At Zero

This tip might seem like an obvious one, but it’s important to discuss how notoriety is portrayed in this game. There are three levels of notoriety in this game. Of course, if you’re at full threat level then you’re going to decrease it, but don’t wait. Even in the first and second stages, the citizens of Baghdad will call on guards to go after you. Only if you’re at zero then they’ll stop.

Don’t Buy Ammo

Listen, it’s very tempting to buy your ammo at the traders, but it’ll be a waste in the long haul. The common chests are stocked with ammo amongst the restricted areas. Just carefully take out a couple of guards and you’ll see some common chests nearby. They’ll give you ammo and elixirs instead of spending your hard-worked currency. Just loot chests until your ammo is full and you’ll be good in no time. It’s better to spend money on crafting components and resources like leather and steel ingots to upgrade your weapons, traps, and outfits at the blacksmith.

Search Through the Cracks

There are a fair amount of puzzles in Mirage and most of the solutions are staring right in front of you. Oftentimes, you see a gear chest with your eagle vision in a room, but find that the door is barred. If you look through the window or ceiling then you can see an opportunity to destroy that obstacle by throwing a knife at it. That’ll be most of the solutions in this game as you just need to angle your knife throw just right in order to get your treasure.

Always search your environment.

Complete Contracts

It’s good to balance out the Asassin’s Creed Mirage story mission and the contracts you receive from the Hidden Ones. For every 2 to 3 missions, you should seek out a contract or two. These contracts will be highly rewarded with tokens, crafting materials, and sometimes even skill points. What’s better is if you complete the optional objective for each contract in order to get more goodies. If you fail the objective then don’t worry because you can load your previous save and you’ll be good. Just go to any assassin’s bureaus to find new contracts on the board.

Spend Your Power Favor Token Wisely

While in the second half, you’ll get more power tokens easily, it’s more of a struggle in the first half. You mainly are tempted to use these tokens when you’re at full notoriety, but it would be best if you saved them. It’s better to use Power Tokens can also be used to hire mercenaries to district guards when you’re trying to enter a huge camp. If the notoriety is high then just look for wanted posters that knock your notoriety level down a tier. The icon for posters will instantly appear when guards get suspicious of you.

Try Out the AC1 Filter

This is more of a fun trick, but this game has a great throwback to the first Assassin’s Creed. You can toggle a filter that makes Mirage look like AC1 with its desaturated blue-grey color filter and it actually works pretty well. It’s funny that one of the rumors was Ubisoft making a remake of the first Assassin’s Creed Game. While it didn’t obviously happen, this filter gives that experience of a current-gen experience. It’s not too distracting and adds a new angle to an already beautiful game.
