The 6-star characters in Arknights: Endfield define team strength and progression speed. These characters split into two pools: limited promotional Operators available only during specific banners, and standard Operators obtainable from the Basic Headhunting and New Horizons beginner banner.
This tier list ranks all available 6-star characters based on their damage output, team flexibility, resource accessibility, and long-term meta viability.
1. All 6-Star Characters Tier List
Below is the complete tier list for all 6-star Operators currently available in Endfield.
| Tier | Limited Characters | Standard Characters |
|---|---|---|
| SS | Laevatain, Yvonne | Ardelia |
| S | Gilberta | Pogranichnik, Last Rite |
| A | – | Lifeng |
| B | – | Ember |
2. SS-Tier Characters
These limited 6-star Operators represent the strongest damage dealers and supports in Endfield. Each appears on promotional and regular banners, with the limited characters such as Laevatain having a 50% rate-up chance when pulling a 6-star.
Laevatain (Heat/Striker)
Laevatain dominates as the best overall DPS in the game right now. Her kit delivers exceptional AoE damage while maintaining strong single-target performance, making her valuable across all content types.
Combat Mechanics
Laevatain’s gameplay revolves around building up Battle Skills and Combos to charge her Ultimate. Once activated, she enters an enhanced state where basic attacks deal massive Heat damage in wide AoE patterns.
Combustion is her core mechanic. When enemies have Heat Infliction applied by teammates like Wulfgard, Laevatain triggers Corrosion through Ardelia’s combo, gaining stacks for her empowered skill. This rotation allows her to maintain consistent burst windows.
Best Laevatain Team Composition
- Wulfgard (5-star): Best Heat applier, feeds Combustion stacks
- Antal (4-star) or Gilberta (6-star): Heat and Electric damage amplification
- Ardelia (6-star, free): Universal buffer and healer, applies Corrosion automatically
Yvonne (Cryo/Striker)
Yvonne is the premier single-target Cryo hypercarry, with the highest burst potential against bosses. Her kit centers on Solidification mechanics and critical-hit scaling.
However, one drawback is that she requires gold-tier equipment to reach her full potential. Critical hit stats become accessible only in endgame gear farming, making her a late bloomer compared to Laevatain’s immediate power.
Combat Mechanics
Yvonne applies Solidification through her skill and combo, which freezes enemies. Hitting frozen targets charges her ultimate significantly faster. Once ultimate is active, she becomes immune to damage and unloads a barrage of empowered attacks with massive multipliers.
Her kit changed from Beta 2 to require more team support for consistent Ice Infliction application. Still, she compensates with raw damage output that surpasses all other Operators in single-target scenarios.
Best Yvonne Team Composition
- Alesh (5-star): Only Ice battery, provides SP regeneration and freeze support
- Last Rite (6-star) or Xaihi (5-star): Additional Cryo DPS and Ice application
- Gilberta (6-star) or Ardelia (6-star): Nature support for reaction triggers and buffs
Ardelia (Free 6-star Nature/Support)
Ardelia stands as the most versatile support in Arknights: Endfield. She fits into virtually every team composition thanks to universal damage amplification and exceptional healing.
Combat Mechanics
As she fits with any teams, you can begin battles by using her combo skill, which triggers Corrosion automatically on an 18-second cooldown. This debuff gradually lowers enemy resistance to all elements, benefiting both Physical and Arts teams.
When you use her skill, it consumes Corrosion to apply massive Physical and Arts Susceptibility, making enemies take significantly more damage. This creates optimal burst windows for main DPS Operators.
For Laevatain teams, Ardelia becomes mandatory. When Corrosion applies, Laevatain triggers her combo and gains stacks for empowered skills, creating a perfect synergy loop.
Best Ardelia Team Composition
Thanks to her versatility, you can fit Ardelia into practically all major team compositions in Endfield:
- Physical teams: Buffs Physical damage and provides sustain
- Electro teams: Triggers reactions and amplifies Arts damage
- Fire teams: Essential for Laevatain, enables Combustion rotation
- Ice teams: Universal buffs complement Cryo carries
3. S-Tier Characters
These Operators excel in specific roles and deliver exceptional value when properly built. They represent the best options for their respective niches.
Gilberta (Nature/Support)
Gilberta brings powerful crowd control, AoE grouping, and Arts damage amplification. She specializes in multi-enemy scenarios where her gravity mechanics shine brightest.
Combat Mechanics
Her skill creates a Vortex that groups enemies toward the center, perfect for setting up AoE burst from teammates. Her ultimate deploys Gravity Field, slowing enemies and massively increasing damage taken for 5 seconds.
The key to maximizing Gilberta is timing. When her ultimate activates, the team you’re using must dump all burst damage during the brief 5-second window to capitalize on amplification.
Best Gilberta Team Composition
- Perlica (5-star, free): Applies Electrification and Electro Infliction consistently
- Arclight (5-star): SP battery that benefits from Gilberta’s amplification
- Avywenna (5-star): Main Electro DPS, massive burst during Gilberta’s ultimate window
Pogranichnik (Physical/Vanguard)
Pogranichnik is the best SP battery for Physical teams, amplifying damage through his unique Breach mechanic. As the only Breach Operator currently available, Pogranichnik will age well. Future Physical carries will benefit from his unique debuff.
Combat Mechanics
Breach is Pogranichnik’s signature mechanic. Unlike Crush (used by Endministrator and Da Pan), which consumes Vulnerability for raw damage, Breach increases the enemy’s Physical damage vulnerability for a duration.
This creates powerful rotation sequences:
- Allies apply four Vulnerability stacks
- Pogranichnik uses Breach, consuming stacks and debuffing the enemy
- Allies apply four more Vulnerability stacks
- Main DPS uses Crush to detonate with massive damage on vulnerable enemies
His combo skill triggers whenever anyone uses Crush or Breach and consumes Vulnerability stacks. Since Physical teams spam these mechanics, his combo activates constantly, refunding SP to the entire team.
Best Pogranichnik Team Composition
- Endministrator (6-star, free): Main Physical DPS, applies and consumes Crush
- Chen Qianyu (5-star, free): Best Vulnerability applier with serious damage
- Lifeng (6-star): Secondary Physical DPS, works alongside Endministrator
Last Rite (Cryo/Striker)
Last Rite delivers exceptional burst damage as a Cryo hypercarry with some of the highest ability scalings in the game. She teaches proper rotation management and rewards skillful play.
Combat Mechanics
Unlike Laevatain’s straightforward gameplay, Last Rite demands careful energy and stack management. Maximizing Last Rite’s damage revolves around applying Ice stacks with her skill.
When enemies reach three Ice stacks, her combo skill activates, consuming them to deal massive damage, apply Cryo Susceptibility, and generate ultimate energy.
Her ultimate hits three times with enormous multipliers, dealing even more damage if the enemy has Susceptibility active. This creates a satisfying burst rotation with clear power windows.
Best Last Rite Team Composition
- Fluorite (4-star): Applies third Ice stack when the enemy has two stacks, creating a good Ice-based combo
- Alesh (5-star): Ice battery with freeze support
- Ardelia (6-star, free) or Xaihi (5-star): Support and healing with damage amplification
4. A-Tier Characters
The Operator on this tier performs well in specialized roles or as secondary damage dealers. He adds value to team compositions but is often overshadowed by higher-tier options.
Lifeng (Physical/Guard)
Lifeng serves as a versatile Physical Operator capable of main DPS or support roles, though he excels most as a secondary damage dealer working alongside primary Physical carries. He pairs naturally with free Operators for immediate power.
Combat Mechanics
The best part of Lifeng is his ability to both apply and consume Vulnerability stacks. His skill knocks down enemies and applies Physical Susceptibility if they lack Vulnerability.
His combo triggers when the controlled Operator’s final strike hits an enemy with Physical Susceptibility or Breach, granting Link to the team. When his ultimate consumes Link, it deals bonus damage.
Best Lifeng Team Composition
- Endministrator (6-star, free) and Chen (5-star, free): Excellent day-one team
- Pogranichnik (6-star): Amplifies team with Breach and SP generation
5. B-Tier Characters
The Operator in this tier provides niche value or defensive utility, and she isn’t necessary for most content. She may become more valuable as the difficulty increases.
Ember (Heat/Defender)
Ember functions as a pure sustain tank with strong shields, healing, and crowd control. She prioritizes team survival over damage output.
Combat Mechanics
As the main on-field character, Ember absorbs incoming damage while protecting teammates through shields and healing. Her combo skill triggers when the controlled Operator is attacked, making her reactive sustain reliable.
Her ultimate provides team-wide shields, though they don’t grant stagger resistance, meaning players still must dodge heavy attacks to avoid combo interruption
She can apply Vulnerability stacks through skill and ultimate, supporting Physical DPS. However, she applies them less consistently than dedicated supporters.
Best Ember Team Composition
- Endministrator and Chen (both free): Can replace Ardelia for tankier Physical comp
- Physical carries: Benefits any team needing extra survivability
