Arc Raiders Recycling Guide – What To Loot, Sell, and Recycle

Optimize Your Inventory! Learn what items to recycle, sell, or keep in Arc Raiders. Track resources for workshop upgrades, salvage duplicates during raids, and turn unused gear into valuable crafting components.

Recycling guide Arc RaidersRecycling in Arc Raiders involves dismantling items to obtain crafting components. Always check the hover-description in your inventory for details like ‘Used in’, ‘Can be recycled into’, or ‘Can be sold’. During raids, if your inventory is full, prioritize salvaging items instead of dropping them.

You may receive fewer materials, but it’s better than losing them entirely. Regularly clean up your inventory by selling trinkets and recycling older loot you no longer need to avoid running out of space.

Knowing which items to loot, sell, or recycle is crucial. When your inventory starts filling with Rare or Epic gear, recycling becomes the fastest way to stockpile high-end crafting materials.

1. What Is Recycling

Recycling in Arc Raiders is the process of breaking down unwanted or extra items into raw materials and crafting resources that can be reused for upgrading, crafting, or repairing. This lets you convert old gear into valuable resources like Electronic Components, Refined Alloys, Explosive Materials, and more.

Recycling is performed through the Workshop at your base.

You should consider recycling when:

  • You have duplicate items.
  • You are low on materials needed for crafting or upgrades.
  • Your inventory is approaching its weight limit, and you need space for more valuable loot.

2. How to Recycle Items

Recycling in Arc Raiders is a straightforward process that lets you break items down into their base components. Make sure your inventory is under control before starting to recycle.

Steps to Recycle

  1. Open your inventory at Speranza while on a raid.
  2. Select the item you want to recycle.
  3. Press RMB (PC) or Triangle/Y (PS5/Xbox) to open the item dropdown menu.
  4. Choose the “Recycle” option at the bottom.

Note: While in a raid, recycling items is referred to as Salvaging.

Things to Consider Before Recycling

Before recycling items in Arc Raiders, it’s important to check a few key details to avoid losing valuable gear:

  • Check the materials: The recycle screen shows what components you will receive. Use this to decide whether to dismantle the item.
  • Recycled items are lost: Once an item is recycled, it is gone permanently, and you only keep the components shown.
  • Read the item description: This helps determine if the item has any other uses before recycling.
  • Look for the ‘Recyclable’ label: Items marked as Recyclable are intended specifically for recycling.
  • Consider alternative uses: Some items may be needed to upgrade a workshop station or may have high coin value if sold.
  • Salvaging in raids: Recycling during a raid is called Salvaging. This grants fewer components than standard recycling but prevents losing inventory space.

3. What Items to Recycle and What Items to Keep

One of the challenges in Arc Raiders is knowing what to recycle and what to keep. The game offers a staggering variety of inventory items, and deciding which materials to keep, recycle, or sell can be tricky.

Tips to Decide

  • Prioritize upgrades: Keep materials needed for important workshop upgrades.
  • Check requirements: Look at each station’s Level Up menu to see what’s needed.
  • Hold key items: Keep items required to progress; recycle the rest.

By keeping an eye on upgrade requirements, you can avoid accidentally recycling valuable materials and make better decisions about what to salvage or sell.

Track Resources

In Arc Raiders, the Track Resources feature helps you monitor which items are needed to progress your base. This works for any workshop station at any level.

How Tracking Works

  1. Click the Track Resources button for the station you want to upgrade.
  2. Once resources are tracked, return to your inventory.
  3. While scrolling through items, you’ll notice a small eye icon in the top-right corner of any item that is required for an upgrade you’re tracking.

Benefits

  • The eye icon appears on all items, whether you’re looting, have it in your inventory, or in your stash.
  • This feature helps prevent accidentally recycling valuable materials.
  • By using the Log Book, you can see a complete list of everything you’re currently tracking and which station it belongs to.

4. List of Items to Recycle

Recycling breaks items into crafting components in Arc Raiders. Use this for items that have no particular quest or trinket value. Items with a Recycle tag are meant for crafting. Don’t be too quick to recycle items early-game, as you later discover they’re required for workbench upgrades.

Below is the list of items you need to recycle to make some space for other crucial items in Arc Raiders.

6. What Items to Sell

In Arc Raiders, you should sell items that don’t have any further use for crafting, quests, or upgrades but still provide good coins. Selling these items frees up inventory and stash space while earning currency for vendors.

Best Items to Sell

  • Trinkets: Items such as playing cards, music albums, statuettes, and certain food items.
  • Miscellaneous items: Anything with a diamond symbol in the Misc tab that has no crafting use.

By focusing on selling items with little or no crafting value, you can maintain a clean inventory while earning extra coins to spend on essential upgrades and gear.
