Keeping an Eye Out is a quest added with the Shrouded Sky update in Arc Raiders. Unlike many other missions, it doesn’t require collecting items or carrying anything back to extraction. Instead, you must locate a hidden shelter beneath a broken highway and take a photo of a specific mural.
The challenge comes from the misleading quest marker, which often points you toward the wrong area. Knowing the correct route to the Collapsed Highway and how to access the shelter below makes the quest much easier to finish.
1. Keeping an Eye Out Quest Objective
Collapsed Highway location
This quest focuses more on navigation and positioning rather than combat. However, the surrounding area can still contain ARC enemies and Raiders, so bringing basic combat gear is recommended. Here are the key details for the Keeping an Eye Out quest:
Quest giver: Tian Wen (Base)
Location: Bilguum’s Shelter, Blue Gate
Main objective: Find the shelter and photograph the eye mural
Special requirement: Use the in-game camera to take the photo
Reward: Pulse Mines and Flame Spray
2. Locate the Collapsed Highway
Getting to Collapsed highway
The first step is finding the Collapsed Highway on the Blue Gate map. This location sits close to the southern edge of the Barren Clearing area.
- Deploy into the Blue Gate map after accepting the quest.
- Head toward the southern side of Barren Clearing.
- Look for a large elevated highway that has broken and collapsed.
- Climb the highway bridge next to the extraction and get to the corner where it’s broken.
There is no direct quest marker for this objective. Instead, look for the large broken roadway with debris forming a ramp leading upward.
3. Climb the Broken Highway
Once you locate the collapsed highway, you’ll need to climb to the top of the structure.
- Approach the pile of debris, forming a ramp along the broken highway.
- Walk up the debris carefully while angling your camera downward to maintain footing.
- Continue climbing until you reach the top section of the broken road.
- Look around the upper section for a zipline anchor point.
Reaching the top is important because it provides access to the shelter hidden underneath the highway.
4. Reach Bilguum’s Shelter
Bilguum’s Shelter sits underneath the elevated highway, and there are two ways to reach it.
Method 1 – Zipline Entry
Using Zipline
- Interact with the zipline anchor on the highway to extend the line.
- Ride the zipline back toward the highway.
- Jump off just before reaching the end of the line.
- Grab the ledge beneath the highway and climb into the shelter.
Method 2 – Drop and Grab
- Stand on the edge of the broken highway above the shelter.
- Jump down while holding the jump button.
- Grab the ledge below and climb up into the shelter interior.
Mobility tools like a Snap Hook or zipline equipment can make reaching the shelter significantly easier.
5. Photograph the Eye Mural

Once inside Bilguum’s Shelter, the final objective becomes available, asking you to take the photo.
- Move deeper into the shelter interior.
- Look at the back wall of the room.
- You’ll see a graffiti mural featuring a stylized eye symbol.
- Equip your camera tool.
- Aim at the mural and take the photo when prompted.
6. Keeping an Eye Out Completion Reward
Bilguun’s Shelter
After photographing the mural, the only remaining step is to extract from the raid.
- Leave Bilguum’s Shelter using the ledge or zipline route.
- Return to ground level near the collapsed highway.
- Move toward the nearest extraction point on Blue Gate.
- Successfully extract to complete the quest.
Completing the Keeping an Eye Out quest rewards you with:
- 5× Pulse Mines
- 1× Flame Spray
Both items are useful combat tools for dealing with enemy groups and controlling space during raids.
