The Assessor Matrix is a high-tier crafting material introduced in the Flashpoint update of ARC Raiders. It plays a key role in progression systems such as the High-Gain Antenna project and is tied directly to Close Scrutiny raids, where ARC Assessors become active loot objectives.
1. What Is the Assessor Matrix?
The Assessor Matrix is an Epic item added to Arc Raiders with the Flashpoint update. It’s not a weapon, attachment, or consumable — instead, it’s a key resource you need to collect to progress through the High-Gain Antenna project. It only spawns in specific in-game conditions and requires real effort to loot.
The Assessor Matrix is recyclable and has a stack size of 1, weighing 0.5 kg, with an in-game value of 5,000 coins.
2. What is Close Scrutiny Event?

The Close Scrutiny ARC Operation spawns Vaporizer enemies and Assessors unique to this map condition. However, loot value is low under this condition, and the main source of loot is Assessors. Close Scrutiny can only occur on Dam Battlegrounds, Space Port, Buried City, and The Blue Gate.
This makes it a good map modifier for those looking for ARC components and for completing the new High-gain Antenna Project.
3. Where to Find ARC Assessors

Once Close Scrutiny is active, Arc Assessors are marked on your map, so you won’t be wandering blind. As you close in on one, look up — three red beams shoot into the sky from each Assessor, making them visible from a significant distance.
You can track where an Assessor is going once it’s spawned, as they appear on the map like Probes and Couriers, and you can see their path as they travel.
Tip: Each Arc Assessor has three separate containers that can be breached and searched. Wait for each breachable platform to become active and loot it; if you leave it for a long while, the Assessor containers fly away.
4. How to Breach an Assessor

- Gear Up: Most importantly, bring strong ARC-slaying guns like the Hullcracker or Aphelion and plenty of healing before queuing into a Close Scrutiny raid.
- Reach the Assessor: When you see the red light beams shoot into the sky during a Close Scrutiny event, it means Assessor that just landed.
- Wait for the Platform: Get close to the Arc Assessor and wait for the platform to show up. Once it does, that’s your cue to begin the breach.
- Use Smoke to Stay Hidden: Once the platform appears, throw a smoke grenade to mask your presence, then quickly climb up to breach and search the container.
- Grab Loot & Escape: Use the Photoelectric Cloak to head to a safe area without alerting the flying ARCs. Repeat the process when looting another Arc Assessor.
- Secure It in Your Safe Pocket: Be the first to breach and loot one of the three conical structures and get the loot out of the container and into your Safe Pocket — you’ll need those extra seconds.
5. How to Get Assessor Matrix

You can get the Assessor Matrix by breaching the Assessor during Close Scrutiny. However, the new probe includes multiple Arc resources, and you can also find the Dolabra Blueprint — a brand new legendary shotgun added in the Flashpoint update.
Assessor Matrix can only be farmed from the Assessor and won’t be available as loot in Probes and Arc Couriers.
6. How to Use the Assessor Matrix
Assessor Matrix is mainly an epic-tier crafting material and an Arc component. You can use it for the following.
- Recycling: Breaking down 1× Assessor Matrix gives you 3× Advanced ARC Powercell and 1× Advanced Mechanical Components — the better option if you need both materials at once.
- Salvaging in raid: Salvaging 1× Assessor Matrix during a raid yields 2× Advanced ARC Powercell instead.
- High-Gain Antenna Project: The Assessor Matrix is a required donation item for Stages 2 and 3 of the High-Gain Antenna Project. You will need a total of 24× Assessor Matrices to complete the full project across both stages.
Tip: Hold off on recycling or salvaging your Assessor Matrices if you are working toward the High-Gain Antenna Project. Donating them to project stages is far more valuable than the crafting materials
