Arc Raiders – Bird City Map Condition Guide

Check out how Bird City Map Condition works, showing chimney loot locations, rare rubber duck variants, trinkets, and crafting parts. Learn the best farming routes, ziplines, and high-density nest clusters to maximize rewards and coins efficiently.

Bird City Map Condition arc raidersBird City is a special map condition in Arc Raiders that affects only the Buried City map. When active, the city is filled with flocks of birds and produces bird nests in chimneys on rooftop buildings — turning certain residential areas into high-value loot zones.

1. What is Bird City Map Modifier

Assorted Seeds

Bird City is a map modifier that appears periodically in the Buried City location. Unlike random environmental hazards, this condition is specifically designed to make rooftops and chimneys more worthwhile and contested.

What Changes During Bird City

  • Bird nests spawn inside chimneys on classic Italian-style residential buildings (with terracotta roofs), but not on modern structures.
  • More ziplines and vertical movement opportunities appear, making rooftop navigation easier.
  • Flying ARC enemies and traps increase on rooftops, so you’ll see more combat up high.
  • The presence of flocks of birds makes noise and visual alerts as you approach rooftops or nest areas.

This modifier cycles on and off; timing and planning your raids around it boosts your chances of high-loot runs. There are increased Trinket spawns during this event, so it’s great for farming coins.

2. Bird Nest Locations

Bird nests only spawn on chimneys when Bird City is active — and they’re concentrated in residential rooftop clusters.

How to Find Bird Nests in Chimneys

  • Target Residential rooftops: These buildings reliably have chimneys where bird nests can spawn.
  • Use rooftop traversal: Roof ziplines, grapple points, and climbing routes make it easier to reach and check multiple chimneys quickly.
  • Look for multiple nests per building: Many Italian-style rooftops have more than one chimney, and each chimney can contain a nest.
  • Open each nest you see: Interact with a nest when prompted to loot items; these include trinkets (high-value items), rubber ducks, and materials.
  • Plan a route: Because nests are clustered in certain areas (like near Town Hall clusters or close building groups), run loops to maximize loot before extraction.

NOTE: If a chimney is not accessible for looting, it means it’s empty and already been looted, so look for shiny ones with nests inside.

Notable Chimney Clusters

Searching Nests

Searching Nests

These are high-yield starting points for farming nests:

  • Town Hall Rooftops: A dense area with many chimneys close together — excellent for chaining searches quickly.
  • Santa Maria Houses: A popular cluster with multiple chimney groups — more competition, but high density.
  • Unmarked Residential Blocks: Smaller clusters near Grandioso Appartments and hidden streets — often less contested but still rich in nests.

3. What’s Inside Nests

Bird nests loot a mix of valuable items, making Bird City one of the best money-making and farming events in Arc Raiders.

Trinkets and Materials

Nests commonly contain:

  • High-value trinkets (e.g., music boxes, jewelry, collectibles) worth thousands of coins each.
  • Common crafting materials include metal parts and plastic parts.
  • Nature items like lemons, apricots, olives, and prickly pears — useful for Scrappy upgrades or coin sales.

Rubber Ducks (New Collectibles)

Bird City brought multiple rubber duck variants into the game, each with rarity and coin value:

Duck Variant Rarity Sell Value (Coins)
Rubber Duck (standard) Common 1,000
Tropical Duck Uncommon 1,000
Gentle Duck Uncommon 1,000
Alien Duck Uncommon 1,000
Doodly Duck Rare 3,000
Flashy Duck Rare 3,000
Familiar Duck Epic 7,000

The highest-value ducks can sell for thousands of coins each and can stack well in your stash.

4. Best Farming Routes for Bird City

Zipline

Zipline

Here are repeatable, efficient routes you can follow during Bird City runs to maximize chimney loot and minimize travel/fights.

Route 1 — Town Hall Priority Loop

  1. Land at a spawn near central Buried City.
  2. Move to Town Hall Rooftops — climb via ziplines or grapple points.
  3. Hit all chimneys on the Town Hall roof first (highest density).
  4. Work outward to adjacent rooftops in the block.
  5. When rooftop loot runs dry, extract early and bank gains.

Route 2 — Santa Maria Houses Sweep

  1. Enter the Santa Maria Residential area once Bird City is active.
  2. Zipline up to each rooftop block with multiple chimneys.
  3. Loot all chimneys on a roof and take the Zipline next to the Plaza Roza area.
  4. Continue pecking along adjacent rooftops to complete the block.
  5. After looting the Plaza Roza roofs, Extract from the South Train Station before ARC spawns or other players push you down.

NOTE: There is a Rocketeer spawn right above the Santa Maria Houses, so it’s best to let it fly away from the houses before looting the chimneys.

Route 3 — Hidden Residential Block Chain

  1. Start on a less-visited residential cluster marked on your mini-map.
  2. Hit small groups of rooftops with chimneys (often unmarked).
  3. Chain climbs quickly — these areas can be quieter and less contested.’
  4. Stick to the top left corner side of the map for slower PvP residential blocks.
  5. Once done, peel off and extract before enemy pressure rises.

5. Tips for Maximizing Bird City Runs

Bird City event

Bird City event

  • Bring a Snap Hook or ziplines to quickly climb for nests — inefficient traversal wastes time.
  • Start at the densest chimney clusters (Town Hall, Santa Monica) to get more nests before players contest them.
  • Stack inventory space with empty slots — nests can fill quickly with trinkets and ducks.
  • Watch for flying ARC enemies — rooftops have more traps and aerial spawns than usual.
  • Extract early if contested — better to leave with 150k coins than fight for another 50k and risk dying
  • Stack Rubber Ducks – You can stack each Rubber Duck type in a stack of five, so check your inventory to get maximum loot value.
