October 1, 2024, marks the European release of Throne and Liberty, the latest MMORPG from NCSOFT, now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. This remarkable game offers a rich and diverse world where your mission is to save Solisium from the grip of dark forces. To accomplish this, you’ll need to search for fragments of the Star of Sylaveth across numerous dungeons. Along the way, you’ll encounter epic battles and raids with friends—including the world boss, Adentus, in Throne and Liberty!
In most MMOs, you’re bound to encounter enemies that are significantly stronger than average. Adentus in Throne and Liberty is one of them—a level 50 world boss. You can freely engage him with other players on the server, and defeating him grants access to highly valuable loot. If you’re playing with a Greatsword build, you can even obtain an epic-quality two-handed sword. Ready to take on this boss? Here’s how you can do it!
Where Does Adentus Appear in Throne and Liberty?
The first step before facing such a formidable enemy is to locate him. Adentus in Throne and Liberty has a specific spawn point, located precisely south of the Ruins of Turayne. Like Aridus, Adentus is an open-world boss (or world boss), meaning it spawns at specific times of day. Additionally, spawn times vary by server, so you’ll need to regularly check your server’s event schedule to ensure you’re there when the battle begins. To do this, simply go to the Main Menu, then select Map, and finally, Event Schedule. Keep in mind that if you haven’t defeated Adentus within 50 minutes, he will disappear.
Adentus’s Techniques and How to Defeat Him
Before starting this boss fight, make sure to engage Adentus during the day. At night, Adentus in Throne and Liberty receives a buff that enhances its strength and fortifies its defenses. Taking on this challenge after sunset is a true test of courage and shows a taste for challenge.
As for its attacks, Adentus has abilities that can seriously threaten your team. Among these is his Fury Attack, a powerful AoE move that pulls all players in the area directly in front of him. You can anticipate this attack when you hear the boss shout, “This will be your grave!” To dodge it, watch for the distinctive purple marker that signals the Fury Attack. The best way to protect yourself from Adentus’s attacks is to keep moving. Facing him head-on will expose you to heavy damage.
Next, be cautious when the boss shouts, “Overrun!” This signals that Adentus in Throne and Liberty is preparing to strike with his mace. This devastating attack deals significant damage and triggers a cone-shaped stun effect. To avoid it, simply position yourself behind him. Keep an eye on the ground to anticipate his moves.
Finally, the best way to defeat Adentus is to have a teammate playing a Tank character in your group. The Tank should always stay engaged with the boss; otherwise, Adentus might unleash an area-wide AoE attack. So, if your Tank isn’t within melee range of the enemy, you’d better start praying!
