Assassin’s Creed Origins is a massive game with much to do and see beyond its main story quests. Slaying the main chiefs of the Order of Ancients is only half the fun in this game. There’s still tons of stuff you can do in Assassin’s Creed Origins. The game has loads of side quests and a huge map most players won’t have fully explored even after they’ve finished off Flavius. These are some of the best things to do in Assassin’s Creed Origins after you’ve ‘completed’ the game.

Reach Level 40
Level 40 is the highest level Bayek can reach in the base Assassin’s Creed Origins game. The last story quests in the game have a suggested level of 35. So, most players will probably be at least a few levels short of 40 after completing Assassin’s Creed Origins. You can have lots of fun completing remaining side quests and battling it out with enemies across Egypt to level Bayek up to the 40 milestone in the post-game.
Kill the War Elephants
Beating Flavius is one thing, but defeating all the War Elephants is quite another. War Elephants are the toughest enemies to slay in Assassin’s Creed Origins. They’re heavily armored level 40 elephants you can fight in four specific locations within Green Mountains, Uab Nome, White Desert Oasis, and Herakleion Nome.
You’re not truly an Assassin’s Creed Origins pro until you’ve slain all four War Elephants, which is virtually impossible if you’ve not reached at least level 35. Defeating those War Elephants will give you skill points and new gear. You’ll also receive the Harder They Fall trophy/achievement.
Kill the Phylakes
Phylakes are elite bounty hunters who are out to get Bayek. There are 10 Phylakes you can fight, and you’ll probably have encountered and maybe even killed a few of them before completing the game. However, killing all 10 is a challenge best undertaken only after completing the Assassin’s Creed Origins since the toughest Phylakes are level 40 foes. Killing them all will enable you to complete the Phylakes’ Prey quest, which will reward you with a legendary outfit when finished.
Win all the Hippodrome Races
Bayek reaches the Hippodrome racing circuit relatively early in Assassin’s Creed Origins. There you can engage in eight progressively more challenging horse and chariot race tournaments. If you didn’t pay much attention to the Hippodrome before completing Origins, check it out after you’ve completed the game. The races are fun, and you’ll receive drachmas (cash) for each tournament won. Plus, you’ll get the Roman Warhorse Mount for winning the elite Darius’ Great Battle tournament.
Become a Champion Gladiator
The gladiator Arenas in Krokodilopolis and Cyrene are places where you can battle it out for glory and prizes. All players who’ve completed Assassin’s Creed Origins will be familiar with Krokodilopolis Arena. The Cyrene Gladiator Arena is the best place to fight in the post-game since it has tougher enemies that will be a better match for players who’ve finished the game. You can become a champion gladiator by completing all the events in the Cyrene Arena, for which you’ll also be rewarded with three legendary outfits.
Find All the Stone Circles
“Bayek’s Promise” is a side quest you can unlock in the early game outside Siwa for which you need to find 12 stone circle locations and match up star patterns at each. However, completing that quest is best left to when you’ve finished Assassin’s Creed Origins and unlocked all parts of the map for exploration. You’ll have a lot of fun exploring Egypt to find all stone circles and will gain access to the locked area of the hidden vault in the Great Sphinx of Giza after completing the “Bayek’s Promise” quest.
Activate All Ancient Mechanisms
Ancient mechanisms are Isu devices hidden away in vaults within ancient tombs. There are six ancient mechanism locations you can find in Assassin’s Creed Origins. Activating each mechanism plays intriguing Isu messages with holographic images. Finding all ancient mechanisms is a fun way to explore the murkier depths of ancient Egypt in the post-game. You’ll also receive the legendary Isu Armor for unlocking the mechanism in the Great Sphinx.
Explore Ancient Egypt on the Discovery Tour
Assassin’s Creed Origins isn’t just a game, it’s an education for ancient Egypt. The game includes an educational Discovery Tour mode in which you can freely explore all parts of ancient Egypt with different characters without getting a bloody nose. Discovery Mode incorporates various tours that provide audio commentary for the many historical sites of ancient Egypt. Discovery Mode is always available and is certainly something worth checking out after completing the game if you haven’t already.
Complete Assassin’s Creed Origins Again in New Game Plus
You can complete Assassin’s Creed Origins all over again in New Game Plus. New Game Plus is a special mode that only becomes available after completing the game. All character progression from your completed game carries over when you start over in New Game Plus.
This special mode offers a bigger challenge, as you’ll be fighting high-level enemies throughout. Plus, you’ll receive the legendary Mythical Warrior outfit reward for completing Assassin’s Creed Plus in New Game Plus mode.
With so many things to do in Assassin’s Creed Origins, the fun never stops! When you’ve truly finished the base game by doing everything above, playing the Assassin’s Creed Origin expansion packs is the next thing on the list. The Curse of the Pharaohs and Hidden Ones DLC packs include new quests to complete and maps to explore.
