Assassin’s Creed: Origins includes a big skill tree on which you can unlock numerous hunter, warrior, and seer abilities for Bayek. Unlocking the best abilities in Assassin’s Creed Origins will make game progression somewhat easier. However, it’s not always easy to identify what the best abilities are without a chance to try them out first. Having completed that game myself, I can tell you what abilities I’ve found to be the best. These are some of the best abilities in Assassin’s Creed Origins that you should unlock ASAP.

Fire Bomb (Seer)
Fire Bomb is a weapon tool you can unlock for only one ability point, which makes it a bargain. This ability gives Bayek bombs that ignite into flames when you can chuck them at enemies, which are the closest things to grenades in ancient Egypt. They inflict longer-lasting damage on enemies by setting them ablaze. You can also inflict damage on multiple enemies with a single bomb.
Overpower Ultra (Warrior)
Overpower attacks will be your most potent weapon when you’ve unlocked the Overpower Ultra warrior ability. This ability doubles the damage your Overpower attack inflicts, which makes it much more potent. Overpower Ultra will enable you to kill some weaker enemies in just one attack when you’re at a higher level. It’s surprising Overpower Ultra only costs one ability point considering how useful it is.
Regeneration (Warrior)
Regeneration is a passive ability that should be among the first ones you unlock in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This is a very important ability because it regenerates Bayek’s health during combat. Unlike Witcher 3, there aren’t any health regeneration items you can utilize when fighting in Assassin’s Creed Origins. Thus, Regeneration is an essential ability to have for keeping Bayek alive longer.
Dawn and Dusk (Seer)
Dawn and Dusk isn’t the most essential ability to unlock, but it’s among the most convenient. You can convert day into night or vice versa whenever you need to with this ability. Sometimes you need to meet people at night for certain quests. This ability will save you from waiting for night to set it. It’s also better to attack forts during the night, and Dawn and Dusk will enable you to do so without waiting around for it to get dark.
Enhanced Predator Bow (Hunter)
Enhanced Predator Bow is my favorite ability in Assassin’s Creed Origins. It enables you to control the flight of arrows fired with predator bows in slow motion. This makes your predator bow a pretty awesome long-range weapon with 100 percent shot accuracy guaranteed. Controlling arrows fired in slow motion makes it easy to pick off enemies from a distance with high-damage headshots.
Enhanced Predator Bow costs two skill points to unlock. It’s even better when you unlock the Headshot XP ability. Then you’ll get an XP boost for all the headshot kills you pull off with your upgraded predator bow.
Air Attack (Warrior)
The Air Attack ability enables Bayek to jump from ledges and attack enemies beneath him while still in the air. Bayek can climb like a monkey in Assassin’s Creed Origins, which makes it easy to get into positions from which to launch air attacks. So, you can attack from the air regularly throughout the game after unlocking this ability, which only costs one skill point. It’s an important ability to have for attacking enemies stealthily.
Adrenaline 2 (Warrior)
Adrenaline 2 is a warrior ability that costs three skill points, but it’s worth unlocking this one sooner rather than later. This passive ability gives you a full adrenaline bar whenever Bayek gets into a scrap. Thus, it enables you to immediately utilize an Overpower attack whenever Bayek enters combat. So, you can start all your fights by inflicting high-damage Overpower attacks when you’ve unlocked this ability.
Buy Materials (Seer)
Bayek has six bits of gear you can upgrade with crafting materials. However, collecting all the materials by hunting and nicking them from convoy ships can be time-consuming. Acquiring the Buy Materials ability for two skill points makes it quicker and easier to collect all the materials needed by purchasing them at shops. Then you can upgrade Bayek’s gear quicker as you progress through the game.
Unlocking those abilities will make Bayek’s life somewhat easier. Aside from those best abilities in Assassin’s Creed Origins, I recommend unlocking the four abilities that increase XP gained for kills sooner rather than later. Then you’ll amass more XP as you play through Assassin’s Creed Origins, enabling you to level up more quickly.
