This KeenGamer page shares some Modern Ops tips for the Team Deathmatch mode in that game. Are your kill/death ratio or win/loss match stats poor in Modern Ops? If so, check out the Modern Ops tips for Team Deathmatch to become a more effective player.

10 Modern Ops Tips for Team Deathmatch

Modern Ops is a popular first-person multiplayer shoot-em-up for Android and iOS mobile devices that more than 50 million players have downloaded. This game has six play modes, among which is Team Deathmatch. In Team Deathmatch mode, two teams battle it out for the highest points score by amassing more kills. I have a 73 percent win rate in Modern Ops for more than 100 matches. These Modern Ops tips for Team Deathmatch will likely help you win most of your games in that play mode as well.

Your K/D Ratio is More Important Than Your Number of Kills

First, don’t forget that your kill/death ratio is more important to winning Team Deathmatch matches in Modern Ops than your total number of kills. Modern Ops doesn’t subtract points for deaths from your match scores, but having a positive K/D ratio (above one) is still crucial to winning most of your Team Deathmatch matches. If enemies kill you more than you kill them, then they’re gaining more points against you during a match. You only truly gain points for your teams by killing enemies more often than they kill you.

With that in mind, don’t get too carried away with trying to kill enemies as quickly as you can. Mindlessly rushing around will likely get you killed at a higher rate than you’re killing enemies. Be prepared to play more patiently and wait for good opportunities to pick off enemies and avoid rushing into groups of enemy players.

Attach Optics to Your Guns for Better Accuracy

Attaching good optic scopes to your guns for ADS (aim down sight) shooting in matches will give you a combat edge in Modern Ops. Optical scope will almost certainly enhance your longer-range shooting accuracy from a distance at least a little bit. Some optics will also increase damage inflicted with ADS shooting. So, attach an optic and make good use of it during matches by shooting at enemies from longer distances to rack up more kills.

Provide Support Fire for Teammates

Fire support is very important to winning Modern Ops matches. Two or more players firing at the same target will increase the damage inflicted. Try to stay reasonably near to your teammates so that you can often jump in and provide some extra fire support when you see them shooting at enemies.

Always Equip First Aid Kits

First aid kits or other health replenishment items are something you should always invest in for Team Deathmatch matches. Such items enable you to replenish your health and armor twice before getting killed. Utilizing health replenishment items will keep you alive for longer durations, enabling you to rack up better killstreaks.

Chuck Grenades Toward Multiple Enemies

Grenades are easy to use in Modern Ops since you can utilize your crosshair to aim your throws. Plus, you get lots of free grenades to use in combat. So, don’t forget to chuck a few grenades during your matches. Even if you don’t kill that many enemies with them, they’ll still lose health from nearby explosions. You’ll rack up more kills from grenades by chucking them toward groups of enemies or into more confined areas like smaller rooms.

Stay Close to Cover

Staying close to cover like crates, boxes, or walls when shooting at enemies will give you something to hide behind when your health drops low. This will enable you to replenish your health and armor after taking a battering from return fire with first aid kits or other healing items. Strafing (moving sideways left and right) in out from cover positions will also make it harder for enemies to take you down. Try to avoid confronting enemies in wide-open areas that offer little to no cover.

Don’t Forget to Reload Your Gun

Gun reloading is quite slow in Modern Ops. Running out of ammunition when shooting at an enemy at close quarters can often be fatal. Most enemies will probably finish you off during the seconds it takes to reload your gun. To prevent that from happening too often, reload your gun after every kill and whenever you see the reload button flashing red.

Set a Higher Frame Rate

It’s better to play shoot ‘me ups at higher frame rates because that ensures smoother animations, minimizes tearing, and reduces ghosting. Smoother animations are especially important for better target tracking. So, set the Battle Frame Rate option in Modern Ops as highly as you can for your mobile device.

Play Modern Ops on an Emulator (Preferably BlueStacks)

Playing Modern Ops on a Windows PC with an Android emulator like BlueStacks will probably enhance your Team Deathmatch performances. BlueStacks has a shooting mode that enables you to utilize the mouse for aiming and shooting, which is a more precise and accurate gun control than finger swiping. You’ll also benefit from a wider field of view on a bigger PC monitor.

You’ll probably get better scores and win more matches by sticking to those Modern Ops tips for Team Deathmatch. Some of those tips are also relevant to other Modern Ops game modes such as Free for all and Point Capture.
