Top 8 Best Games Releasing In July (2025)

It’s that time again for another round of what we believe are the best games releasing for the month. Last month, there were some exciting releases with Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, The Alters, and Dune: Awakening. Now we’re in July, where we have new IPs, plenty of multiplayer experiences, fun AA/Indie games, and a genre-defying take on one classic game. Enough of my rambling, let us get down to business and show you what we believe are the best games for July (2025).

Due to the influx of many big game releases over the last few months, you might need to catch up with knowing what came out. If so then check out last month’s list, Top 8 Best Games Releasing in June (2025).

1) Mecha BREAK 

Prepare for adrenaline-pumping battles using customizable mechs

Starting our list is a third-person shooter that has you piloting badass mechs in high-octane ground and aerial combat. Mecha BREAK is set in the aftermath of a catastrophe where mysterious new mineral Corite has surfaced, bringing a rejuvenation in Earth’s depleted energy industry while slowly devouring the last habitable spaces on the planet due to its pathogenic nature. Amid the chaos, you and a secret organisation known as S.H.A.D.O.W. will embark on a perilous journey filled with danger and discovery. As you advance through the game, unlock a roster of characters with rich backstories, and join forces with legendary pilots to secure humanity’s survival. 

In this multiplayer-focused third-person shooter, choose your preferred mech and take on enemies across three distinct game modes. Choose to go in alone or form a tactical squad of three mechs to infiltrate the largest Corite resource zone, the Mashmak Islands. Pilot your third-generation BREAK Strikers and charge through a 200-square-kilometer combat area to carry out reconnaissance missions under fire. Take the battle up close with an imposing battle-axe or penetrate enemies from afar with stealthy sniper shots, energy blasts, and missiles.  Stand out on the battlefield with mechs and pilots designed by you. Choose from a multitude of colours, decals, and unique patterns to create a truly one-of-a-kind mecha masterpiece. 

2) Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3+4

The legendary franchise returns with more skaters, parks, gnarlier tricks and more. 

Next, we have the return of the legendary skateboarding franchise, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, in a brand new remake. In Tony Hawks  Pro Skater 3+4, drop into completely new parks like an abandoned waterpark to chain combos in and a neon-lit environment where you’ll skate inside a pinball machine. Tear it up across the timeless parks from both games, authentically remade in jaw-dropping 4K. The only original levels missing are Carnival and Chicago from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4. Alongside the levels returning, every original skater is back, as well as a bunch of brand-new pro skaters. 

The Career mode that was in THPS 4 isn’t returning; instead, we have the classic 2-minute timer run where you’ll aim to get high scores and complete challenges. If you’re not a fan of the 2-minute timer, it can be extended between 10 minutes to an hour, allowing you to leisurely freeroam and tackle longer challenges. The Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park modes return completely expanded with the ability to create custom goals to share with friends. Reunite the crew with cross-platform online multiplayer for up to 8 skaters. 

3) Ready or Not

Bring order to a city overwhelmed by chaos and corruption.

If you’re looking for a thrilling close-quarter shooter, then Ready or Not should be on your radar. Originally released on PC back in 2023, Ready or Not aims to deliver an immersive SWAT experience. Lead a team of highly-trained officers through harrowing, real-world-inspired missions to secure locations concealing unknown criminal threats and potential civilians. Every mission demands tactical precision and situational awareness. Bullets from known and concealed threats react realistically with the environment, passing through walls, furniture and bodies.

Strategically forge your squad of elite SWAT officers, equip them with the right weapons and gear for each mission. You’ll make every strategic decision to tactically breach criminal strongholds and quickly identify and neutralise threats in tense, life-threatening scenarios. Ready or Not confronts you with a raw, unflinching mirror of real-world crime, exposing the horrors of human trafficking, drug running, illegal arms dealing, militant extremism and terrorism through interwoven storylines that span multiple missions. 4) Robo Cop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business

Become RoboCop once again for a new adventure

After experiencing the nostalgic glory of Robocop: Rogue City, we’re unsurprisingly getting another entry. In RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, continue the war on crime in this standalone extension set after the events of RoboCop: Rogue City. In this adventure, you’ll be going up against a group of mercenaries who have taken control of OmniTower, a massive housing complex for the residents of Old Detroit. Experience unique missions with familiar faces, revealing more of Unfinished Business’s storyline.

You’ll once again take control of RoboCop to dispense justice as you travel up the tower, facing high-tech threats. Every floor is riddled with deadly traps and heavily armed elite troops. Expect to face minigun-toting armoured squads, special forces equipped with jet packs, or even katana-wielding foes who look more machine than man. Choose from a wide range of powerful weapons to serve Justice, including the iconic Auto-9 or the all-new Cryo Cannon.

5) The Wandering Village

Create a society that can overcome any challenge.

Our next pick is a unique take on city-building simulators with The Wandering Village. Set in a world where mysterious plants have ravaged the earth with toxins, a small group of survivors seek shelter on the back of a giant creature called Onbu. Become their leader, build their settlement, and form a symbiotic relationship with Onbu to survive in this hostile yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world. Build your settlement and expand it over Onbu’s back. It’s not just building, you’ll need to manage the village successfully to survive. Will you live in symbiosis, bond with Onbu and survive on mutual trust? Or will you become a parasite, only aiming to ensure a better life for your villagers? The choice is yours.

Continuously adapt your village as you travel through a multitude of different biomes, each with its unique climate zones, opportunities and threats. Scout your environments and send out foraging missions to gather rare resources and ancient artefacts. Remnants of the old world hold knowledge long forgotten, which can be unearthed by your villagers. Find and research these technologies, but use them wisely, as progress can be a double-edged sword. Ensure the survival of both your villagers and your Onbu, even though poisonous spores, merciless weather, bloodsucking parasites and many more challenges mean that the odds are often stacked against you.

6) Shadow Labyrinth

Master the fluid combat and combine powerful skills to create a playstyle of your own.

For fans of genre-twisting games and anyone who watched Amazon’s anthology series Secret Level, Shadow Labyrinth has been waiting for you. Shadow Labyrinth is a 2D platformer that interprets the classic game PAC-MAN in a new direction. You play as Swordsman No.8, a hooded character awoken by a floating yellow orb named PUCK, on a mysterious planet amidst relics of wars past. You are chosen to become the instrument of PUCK’s will, whether you like it or not.

To survive this hostile landscape, you must discover secrets, consume your enemies, and grow from prey to apex predator. Search the remnants of an age-old intergalactic conflict, started long before your arrival. Discover new powers and abilities and use them to traverse an alien world as you battle dangerous creatures and evolved monstrosities. Team up with PUCK and dive deeper into the maze of the mysterious alien world. 7) WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers

The fate of the land rests in your hands.

If you’re a fan of soulslikes and action RPGs, then WUCHANG: Fallen Feather should be on your radar. Set in the land of Shu, during the late Ming Dynasty, you play as Wuchang, a skilled pirate warrior struck with amnesia. Immerse yourself in a rich storyline where you’ll navigate the uncertainties of Wuchang’s mysterious past while dealing with a horrific Feathering disease. Your quest for truth will take you through forgotten temples, overgrown ruins, and shadowed paths fraught with peril. As you piece together Wuchang’s lost memories, each of your choices can lead to one of several endings. 

Battle against grotesque abominations, drawing on ancient lore to challenge the creeping darkness that threatens the humanity that remains. Evolve your fighting style by sacrificing elusive Red Mercury and further develop new techniques obtained throughout your action-packed journey. Augment the weapons in your repertoire with powerful enchantments, allowing for a unique approach to combat and strategy that suits your style. 8) Grounded 2

Embark on another shrunken adventure

Finally, we have the sequel to the hit survival game, Grounded. Currently releasing in early access, Grounded 2 continues the adventure in a whole new playpark. Taking place in 1992, two years after the events of the original game, the four teens, alongside Dr Tully, have gone missing after an explosion occurs during the unveiling ceremony at Brookhollow Park. Everyone seems to think they either died or are somewhere else; in reality, they have once again been shrunken down to the size of an ant. Play as one of these puny protagonists and work to embiggen yourself once more, all while taking on the deadly threats found within the park and discovering who exactly is behind the plot to shrink you in the first place.

Grounded 2 will feature a returning mix of building, exploration, combat, and survival from the original game. However, there are many new features, like the map size being three times bigger, offering new areas based around Brookhollow Park. New insect mounts known as buggies help with exploration, building and combat. Another new feature is the Omni-tool, which can act as multiple different tools like a shovel, axe, hammer, and wrench. The perils of the park are daunting alone, but with friends, every challenge becomes an adventure. Work together to build, fight, and uncover the secrets buried beneath the grass. Whether you’re facing danger side by side or continuing your journey in a shared world, survival is always better with allies.
