Top 10 Best Games Releasing In February (2026)

Here we are again, folks, let’s get down to business. It’s only the second month of 2026, and it’s looking huge for video games. We have a new, bigger list of what we think will be the best games releasing in February. Last month, we had mostly hidden gems with a few big releases. We got close and personal with your fellow man in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check and thwarted a zombie uprising (hopefully). We climbed (and fell off) a mountain in Cairn, used time as a tool to cure a plague in Pathologic 3, and survived an apocalypse in style in I Am Future. Then there was Highguard, a game that could have either been the next big multiplayer experience, but at the moment, it’s not looking like that’ll be the case. Hopefully, it’ll make a comeback soon with its recent 5v5 mode announcement. 

Now we come to February, with ten exciting games we think you should have on your radar. February is stacked with AAA games, AA games and a few indies. We’ve got a few good-looking horrors from renowned studios like the creators of Little Nightmares. We have a few sequels that will open up more of the worlds and stories we enjoy. There’s also the next exciting entry in Grasshopper Manufacture’s wild and weird roster of games. Enough of my rambling, let us get down to business and show you what we believe are the best games for February (2026).

1. My Hero’s Academia All Justice 

Featuring 50+ characters from U.A. students, Pro Heroes, and Villains

Starting our chaotic month is a 3D arena fighter set in the world of the hit anime, My Hero Academia. In My Hero Academia: All Justice, you’ll get to experience the final story arc, featuring the final battle from a whole new perspective. In the story mode, re-live iconic moments from the final arc, like Bakugo’s fearless stand against All For One, Deku’s heroic struggle to bring justice and redemption to his fated foe, and more. Dive into a variety of game modes, including an original scenario-based Team-Up Mission where you’ll experience hero life as a U.A. High 1-A student in a Virtual Space.

Similar to the previous My Hero Academia games, this is another 3D arena fighter where you’ll fight in 3v3 battles. Utilise the Quirks of Heroes and Villains to pummel, blast, and trick your foes. Unleash each character’s Quirk like never before by activating “Rising”, which allows attack power, movement speed, and Quirk actions all enhanced. Mix and match your team’s Quirks to find synergies and add depth to your tactics and strategies. Chain combos while switching characters to seize victory!

2. Carmageddon: Rogue Shift

Brace yourself for a whole new era of vehicular combat

The Legendary Carmageddon engine roars back to life this month with Carmageddon: Rogue Shift. In this chaotic spin-off, embrace the future of 2050, where the world you know is a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Hordes of nightmare creatures, the Wasted, lay siege to humanity. Every night, the streets are overrun, forcing everyone to barricade themselves in their skyscraper homes for survival. There is just one chance to escape all this: the Carmageddon. Enter the Carmageddon as one of the countless racers facing off rival gangs like the Autoscum and other rogues in a fight for survival. The champion wins the right to attempt the perilous journey that leads to the spaceport beyond the mountain for a chance to flee from this dying world. 

The original Carmageddon spirit of vehicular mayhem has been refined and redesigned. The devs combine elements of the past and the present to create a visceral, fast and accessible form of combat racing. Every Campaign run offers a unique journey through a randomly generated graph. With branching paths, varied objectives, and ever-changing time-of-day and weather conditions, no two runs are the same. But the Carmageddon ain’t over when your vehicle is wrecked. Another driver will step up, and the challenge will resume anew, in a typical roguelite loop. Earn Beatcoins to unlock permanent bonuses and new content between runs in the Black Market. 3. Nioh 3

Explore an open world filled with demonic creatures to take down

Next, we have Nioh 3, the latest entry in the dark samurai action RPG series. In this dark reimagining of Japan’s warring states era, you play as Tokugawa Takechiyo, a newly appointed shogun who must fend off his fallen brother, Tokugawa Kunimatsu, who leads a yokai army. The era of peace suddenly turns into hell, leading Takechiyo to transcend time to change fate and save Japan through the mysterious power of his guardian spirit, Kusanag. Along the way, Takechiyo encounters Himiko, a mysterious figure whose composure hides deep inner conflict. Together, they uncover a sinister conspiracy designed to transform the world into a living hell. 

Unlike previous entries, Nioh 3 features an open field filled with the sense of tension the series is known for, while allowing players to explore to their heart’s content. You can enjoy the seamless switch between two combat styles during battle, facing your enemies head-on with Samurai Style and using quick movements and special techniques with Ninja Style. You’ll encounter formidable yokai, explore menacing villages where darkness lurks, and struggle against the ominous presence of the Crucible. These crucibles are home to powerful enemies and treacherous challenges, but they also hold immense rewards. By purifying these areas, players can obtain rare crucible weapons and unlock new guardian spirit skills, deepening both the lore and the combat system.

4. Crisol: Theater of Idols

Explore a cursed island, uncover its dark secrets, and battle horrifying enemies

Our next pick aims to bring a shiver down your spine. Crisol: Theater of Idols is a survival horror adventure game set in the haunting world of Hispania, a twisted version of Spain. You play as Gabriel, a soldier with the ability to use his own blood as a deadly weapon. Tasked with a divine mission from the Sun God, Gabriel will uncover the chilling history and twisted folklore of Tormentosa, a beautiful but malevolent island. Explore the disturbing world of Hispania, a land filled with a disturbing fusion of historical events, folklore, and religious undertones.

Traverse eerie landscapes, crumbling grand ruins, and labyrinthine streets as you peel back the layers of cults and blood sacrifice.  Face off against staggering statues brought to life and unravel a dark narrative that blurs the line between reality and nightmare. Blood is both your lifeline and your ammunition. Battle terrifying enemies and solve intricate puzzles; however, every shot drains your life. Choose wisely, survival hinges on your ability to balance life and death. Upgrading the powers that leverage the lethality of blood allows you to deal more damage, fight for longer, and gain bonuses in combat. Navigate myriad weapon options for the right scenario and improve them through coins found in your exploration of Tormentosa.   

5. Romeo Is A Dead Man

Paint the screen red and travel the cosmos in this bloodstained action-adventure game!

Our next pick is from the insane minds of Grasshopper Manufacture, Romeo Is A Dead Man. Take control of protagonist Romeo Stargazer in this third-person single-player action adventure. After space-time itself is shattered by a certain incident, Romeo, on the brink of life and death, finds himself revived by a new kind of super technology. Later recruited as a special agent for the FBI’s Space-Time Police, he now wanders the cosmos in search of criminals to bring them to justice. Alongside this, he’s looking for clues concerning his missing girlfriend, Juliet. Quickly into the investigation, Romeo realises her disappearance and the destruction of space may be more linked than he thought. 

Romeo Is A Dead Man offers an unpredictable story, littered with intense battles, and interspersed with side missions to suit the player’s pace. Switch between swords and guns in fights to wipe out numerous waves of enemies that stand in your path. Embrace a new kind of bloody action, and take down fearsome space-time criminals that await. Absorb the blood of your enemies to unleash Romeo’s special attack, Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Romeo’s various weapons can be strengthened and altered as the story moves forward, as he takes on even stronger enemies.

DLC/Update Spotlight: Poppy Playtime Chapter 5

Face off against the deadly puppetmaster behind the horrifying events of Playtime Co.

This month’s DLC/Update spotlight focuses on the horror genre with the latest terrifying chapter of the Poppy Playtime saga. In the fifth chapter, you continue your journey into the gruesome depths of the factory, with Playtime’s security system Huggy Wuggy in hot pursuit. After the events of Chapter 4, you’re left abandoned by your allies, and your survival chance is lowered now that you’re in His domain. Here, shadows whisper, and the puppet master who lords over this realm pulls the strings of madness. Can you stand against evil and finally put an end to this nightmare? Every bloody move forward will test your resolve as you uncover secrets years in the making.

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 continues to deliver stomach-churning terror in this new layer of the Playtime facility. As you uncover the dark works hidden within The Prototype’s stomping grounds, you’ll encounter the tortured denizens living in the darkness. They may aid you in your quest to defeat The Prototype, but can they be trusted? Wanted fewer puzzles in the next chapter…well, bad news for you, cause theres more. You’ll solve even more devious puzzles and overcome dangerous environmental obstacles with the help of the new GrabPack tools and functionality. Will you escape this new realm of shadows with your sanity intact, or will you succumb to the horrors within? Remember to still have the first chapter(Base Game) downloaded since this will only contain the fifth chapter on purchase. 

6. Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties

A legend is reborn and a new legacy begins

For anyone wanting a trip down memory lane while enjoying a new perspective on a past antagonist, here’s a game for you. Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is actually two games in one package, bringing two unique experiences. Yakuza Kiwami 3 is an extreme remake of the action-adventure beat ’em up Yakuza 3. You play as series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, an ex-yakuza who’s fighting to protect those he loves. The bustling streets of Okinawa and Tokyo come to life in stunning detail with reimagined combat taking brutal brawling action to the next level. New scenes in the story deliver more depth and emotion to the beloved story with new and enhanced side experiences that immerse you in the world like never before, and more. 

The second experience, titled Dark Ties, is a brand new game featuring Yakuza 3 antagonist, Yoshitaka Mine. Having once led a successful startup company, Mine plunges himself into the dark world of the yakuza after losing everything. Left with an empty heart, the pursuit to find true bonds drives him forward once again in a dramatic journey. Use Mine’s unique and exhilarating boxing-based combat to move up the ranks and become the high-ranked villain we all know. Luckily, unlike previous experiences like the Kaito Files, Dark Ties will have a variety of engaging side experiences to play. Let’s get Mine in that Karaoke room!

7. High On Life 2

Do you have what it takes to risk it all and bring down an intergalactic conspiracy?

For anyone interested in a sci-fi comedic adventure, then oh boy, we’ve got the game for you. High on Life 2 is the sequel to the bounty hunting comedic epic, where you team up with sentient guns and take down space criminals. This time around, you and your rag-tag team of alien misfits are the ones on the run. This all started when a mysterious figure from your past reappeared and put a price on your sister’s head. Alongside this, humans are being turned into legal drugs by an evil pharmaceutical conglomerate hell-bent on putting price tags on human life. Time for your post-first-game happy ending to cease and embrace the chaos once more. 

Team up with a wide cast of talking alien guns as you shoot, stab, and skate your way through the exotic locales to take down the bad guys and save the human race. Get up close and personal with an eccentric cast of bizarre and subversive lifeforms voiced by an all-star comedy cast. Many returning characters will appear in your arsenal, like Gus (J.B. Smoove) and Sweezy (Betsy Sodaro), alongside newcomers, Sheath (Ralph Ineson) and Travis (Ken Marino). Wreak havoc at the galaxy’s biggest convention, an alien zoo for humans, and a luxury futuristic cruiseliner on your cosmic quest to TAKE DOWN BIG PHARMA.

8. Reanimal

Navigate nightmarish environments with your friend or alone

Next, we have the newest nightmarish creation from the developers of Little Nightmares 1 & 2. In Reanimal, you play as a brother and sister who will go through hell to rescue their missing friends. In this unsettling tale, the emphasis is on tension and thick atmosphere, as you join the two orphans on a desperate search for hope and redemption in the direst of circumstances. Exploring by boat and on land, you must use your wits to survive, work together to escape the hellish island, and the dark secret that haunts you.

In this horror adventure, traverse an intriguing but terrifying world, where the main path is only one part of the fragmented story. Discover all sorts of mysterious locations on your perilous journey, each with its own story to tell. Tarsier Studios is bringing their unique visual style to bear on a whole host of new twisted monsters and broken, yet resilient, child characters. The children’s troubled past has been used as inspiration for their character design, as well as the monsters that torment them. This will be a terrifying journey, so luckily, you don’t have to play alone. Reanimal is fully playable solo, local and online co-op, and you don’t even have to buy two copies with the addition of the friends pass. 

9. Avowed

Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger

Here’s a port that PlayStation players should keep an eye out for. Avowed is a first-person action RPG set in the world of Pillars of Eternity. Originally released for PC and Xbox, it’s finally coming to PS5 alongside an anniversary update. As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to the Living Lands to investigate a mysterious plague. But what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, your companions, and even yourself.

In the Anniversary update, Obsidian are giving us some neat improvements and additions. The first major addition is New Game Plus mode, allowing players to carry over all their equipable gear to a new character. Your level will reset to level 1, but you’ll get to fight harder and modified enemies. We’ll also be getting a Photo Mode, so get your camera ready and capture your greatest moments. Three brand new races to play as: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan. You can now change your appearance whenever you’d like. There’s also a new weapon type with two-handed staves that will give you another chance to mix weapons and magic to create chaos. 

10. Resident Evil: Requiem

A new era of survival horror arrives in the most immersive entry yet

Finally, we reach our last game of the month, and it’s looking like a game-of-the-year nominee. Resident Evil: Requiem, the ninth mainline entry in the series, will take us back to the infamous Raccoon City. Experience terrifying survival horror with FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who investigates a mysterious death at the same abandoned hotel where her mother was killed. Dive into pulse-pounding action with legendary DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy, who has returned to investigate the latest string of deaths in the Midwest. Both of their journeys and unique gameplay styles intertwine into a heart-stopping, emotional experience that will chill you to your core.

Experience the series’ classic survival horror through combat, investigations, puzzles, and resource management. Gameplay allows you to freely switch between first and third-person views to face the horrors in a way that suits your playstyle. Alongside being able to change the perspective freely, you can also swap characters at any point during the game. Both characters use different playstyles, with Leon able to wield a variety of weapons and execute close-quarters combat manoeuvres with the all-new hatchet. Meanwhile, Grace will be going through hell with the classic formula. That means limited resources and careful judgement is required in picking which enemy to fight.
