Cryolinx is a late-game ice element pal located on the map’s northwestern edge in Palworld. Its attacks are mostly ice-based and ground-based so it is strong against dragon-type Pals which are most high-tier pals in Palworld. However, it is weak against fire-type Pals because of its ice element type.
Players can either capture this Pal or breed it using other high-tier Pals. As Cryolinx is a late-game Pal it requires expertise in the game to capture it but with these tips and tricks, you will easily capture and breed Cryolinx and add this strong Pal to your Paldeck. Using this Pal in the combative team is the most efficient way because of its high attack and defense stats.
Location of Cryolinx
Cryolinx is commonly located on the map’s northwestern edge in the Astral mountains. You will need a flying mount to reach there and wearing cold-resistant armor is important, as this is a cold area.
How to Capture Cryolinx
As it is often the case with high-tier pals, and you have surely encountered some already, the regular basic Pal Sphere and even the Mega Pal Sphere both have a very slim chance of capturing this mighty ice-type known as Cryolinx. As you’ve probably guessed already, you will need to craft and bring with you some Ultra Spheres to make the capturing easy. While at it, you’ll also do well to prepare for the fight by bringing Fire-Type Pals.
Craft Ultra Sphere
You should be looking to craft at least the Ultra Pal Sphere to increase your chances of catching Cryolinx. It will also help you in the long run to capture high-tier pals in Palworld.
Here are the requirements for crafting Ultra Pal Spheres:
- Unlock Level: 35
- Crafting Bench: Sphere Assembly Line
- Materials: 5x Paldium Fragment, 5x Ingot, 2x Cement, 2x Carbon Fiber
Use Fire-Type Pal (and Fighting Tips)
As an ice Pal, Cryolinx is weak against fire-type Pals. So, consider bringing fire-type Pals to weaken it first then use your Ultra Pal Sphere to capture it.
- Avoid engaging in ground combat with Cryolinx: It is best to stay airborne mounted on a flying Pal when fighting with Cryolinx as most of its attacks are grounded and cause you to freeze up.
- Consider bringing multiple Pals to your party: Keeping extras ensures that you can replace any damaged ones. This strategy aids in sustaining a continuous flow of fire damage on Cryolinx.
- Wear Armor: It is best to wear cold-resistant armor, as Cryolinx’s is an ice pal and its ice-based attacks deal a lot of damage.
- Use Ultra spheres: To increase your chances of capturing Cryolinx consider dropping its HP to silver and then use Ultra sphere to capture it.
Cryolinx Skill and Work Suitability
With its surprisingly high Attack and Defense stats it can easily battle high-tier Pals so you should have no trouble adding it to your team. However, it’s also a wise choice to leave Cryolinx at your base in Palworld. Its proficiency in Cooling and Lumbering makes it ideal for refrigeration and chopping wood.
- Partner Skill: Dragon Hunter – While fighting together, Dragon Pals drop more items when defeated.
- Work Suitability: Level 1 Handiwork, Level 2 Lumbering, Level 3 Cooling.
- Possible Drops: Ice Organ
- Food: 7/10
Active Skills:
- Iceberg: Summons a sharp ice lance under an enemy.
- Cryst Breath: Enshrouds an enemy in a frigid blast of air, dealing continuous damage.
- Ice Missle: Creates ice lances in the air that fly toward enemies.
How to Breed Cryolinx
Cryolinx is obtained from a Large Frozen egg in Palworld. To obtain Cryolinx breed pals in a breeding farm. Once an egg is obtained, it should be placed in an Egg Incubator and allowed to hatch. However, it is better to capture it than breed it because it requires Cake to finish the breeding process, which is extremely difficult to craft.
