Back again for another round of video game releases and like February, March continues to bring in many fantastic games. 2025 has already been quite a busy year for video games and it’s only getting more hectic with each passing month. In March we have many releases from big studios like Ubisoft, SEGA, and game of the year studio Hazelight. We have AAA releases, new instalments in long-running franchises, and a few sequels. Enough of my rambling, let us get down to business and show you are recommendations for March (2025).

Two Point Museum

Starting our list is the latest entry in the Two Point management series, Two Point Museum. Their new game takes players to the halls of history and creativity, where they are given full control of numerous museums. Take on the mantle as the latest curator on the scene, tasked with designing and refining your own museums to create the ultimate guest experience. Coordinate experts and send them off on extraordinary expeditions to discover new exhibits. When (and hopefully not if) your Experts return from their adventure, proudly display their fantastic finds in your museum. Generate buzz to entice knowledge-hungry guests to visit your exhibits, though be warned, they’ll expect top infotainment if they’re to leave impressed.
Your work doesn’t end there, maintaining your exhibits is equally important to entertaining the guests. Manage staff members back home to ensure exhibits and the museum stay in tip-top condition. This includes protecting it from meddling thieves, curious children and more so remember to hire enough security. Once back in the creative mood, design your museum layout your way. Decorate and design thematic areas to guide your guests’ visit. This includes splashing paint, laying carpet down, arranging prehistoric ferns, frozen icemen that may or not come alive and dinosaur remains. Remember to cater to your guests including VIPs with plenty of bathrooms, gift shops, and vendors of fine museum dining.

For fans of multiplayer shooters, Fragpunk could be worth your time. The new 5v5 hero shooter aims to play with the genre by using power-up cards that bend the rules of combat. No two rounds of Fragpunk will ever be the same with over 100 shard cards available to pick from providing infinite possibilities. The cards can amplify your jump height, reverse player roles, turn bullets into flame or chain lighting, and even resurrect you and your team. Each round lasts about 2.5 minutes making every bullet count to win the fight in Team Deathmatch, Capture the Core, and more modes.
Pick from 12 playable heroes known as Lancers with their unique abilities and engaging personalities. Nitro can utilize a drone and a sentry turret, Corona can use throwable fire weapons, and Hollowpoint can reveal enemies in cover. Find your favourite guns among the 17 options available, some having special abilities like shooting faster over time, bursts and more. Fragpunk will launch with four maps with more planned in future updates. Feast your eyes on the mixed visual effects including collages, graffiti and a blend of realistic and stylized textures within each map.

Next, we have the next cooperative experience from the inventive minds behind the award-winning game, It Takes Two. Hazelight’s newest game, Split Fiction is a unique action-adventure game that aims to keep you on the edge of your seat with unexpected moments. Play as Mio and Zoe, writers in the Fantasy and Sci-Fi genres who are trapped in a machine that aims to steal their creative ideas. They must work together to master a variety of abilities and overcome diverse challenges while jumping between sci-fi and fantasy worlds in this unexpected tale of friendship.
In Split Fiction, you and your co-op partner will alternate between Zoe’s fantasy settings and Mio’s Sci-Fi worlds. Escape a sun that’s going supernova, take on a monkey in a dance battle, battle a bad kitty and ride everything from gravity bikes to a sandshark. Every world brings a new look to admire, new game styles to enjoy and new mechanics and abilities to master. Like the other cooperative games from Hazelight, Split Fiction can only be played via co-op. That means no single-player mode, however, that doesn’t mean you have to buy two copies. Split Fiction provides a friend pass that allows you to invite someone on either console or PC to play the full game.

After a few delays, Ubisoft’s next instalment of the Assassin’s Creed series is upon us, taking everyone to Feudal Japan. Experience Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ epic tale as two new protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke. Naoe is a shinobi assassin from the Iga Province who uses the art of stealth to her advantage. She can use an arsenal of ninja tools like smoke bombs, grappling hooks, and kunai. Yasuke is an African samurai who uses his towering physique and skills with the katana to lay waste to anyone who gets in his way. This makes him not the stealthiest character but he does have access to heavier weapons and special moves. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set against the backdrop of the turbulent late Sengoku period where our duo will band together to usher in a new era for Japan.
Enter Ubisoft’s captivating take on Feudal Japan, and explore spectacular castle towns, bustling ports, peaceful shrines and war-ravaged landscapes. During your adventure, you can build your own network of spies who will act as your eyes and ears across locations. These spies can assist in gathering information regarding locations to visit or to help hunt down your next target. Assassin’s Creed Shadows also lets you customizable your hideout hideout and manage your growing shinobi league. The next game in our picks for March is from Rebellion, creators of the Sniper Elite series. Their new game Atomfall is a survival action game set five years after the Windscale nuclear disaster in Northern England.
