5 Predictions For WWE’s Royal Rumble: Riyadh 2026

Here are my predictions for WWE's Royal Rumble, which is set to occur at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, inside the King Abdullah Financial District on January 31st, 2026. The annual Royal Rumble showcases two Rumble matches that give the two winners an opportunity to compete at WrestleMania.

5 Predictions For WWE's royal Rumble Riyadh 2026

The 2026 edition of the Royal Rumble is almost here in the WWE. Coming off a jam-packed 2025, that saw John Cena retire in his match against Gunther, newcomers like Trick Williams are trying to make a name for themselves at the event that kicks off the road to WrestleMania. Here are my predictions on what might happen at the Royal Rumble.

1. Liv Morgan Wins at the Rumble

Recently returning to the company after recovering from an injury suffered during her match against Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan has already made an impact in the women’s division. She returned to the Judgment Day, helping Dirty Dom win against Cena for the Intercontinental Championship.

I’m going with Liv Morgan to enter the Royal Rumble match and eventually win it. She is still one of the best female talents that the WWE has when it comes to the main roster. Also, Liv has had moments in her career where she has won solo titles before, and she might be hungry to do it again.

Can Liv Morgan survive 29 other women to go forward and have a match at WrestleMania?

2. The Tribal Chief Comes to Reclaim His Yard

With me predicting Liv winning on the women’s side at the Rumble, we turn our focus on the men’s side of things. Lots of great talent will be at this year’s Royal Rumble, but I think that Roman Reigns will dominate the competition and thusly become the winner of the match. Roman Reigns also won a Royal Rumble match in 2015, so he knows a thing or two about said event.

The men's Royal Rumble match set to be chaotic and unpredictable.

3. AJ Styles Losses to Gunther at the Rumble

It all comes down to this. It’s hard to imagine a world in which AJ Styles wasn’t in a wrestling ring, but that could very well be the case for him at the Rumble. AJ Styles has agreed to a career threatening match against Gunther at the event.

One of the stipulations in the match is if AJ Styles losses he is forced to retire from in-ring competition. I can’t see Gunther losing this match. If there isn’t any outside interference, I can see AJ Styles losing.

Could this be the final match of AJ Styles' career?

4. Drew McIntyre Retains Gold Against Sami

Sami Zayn earned the right to face off against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event after he won his fatal-four way number one contender’s match. Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre have had great matches together, and all of their bouts are unpredictable due to the fact that they have different fighting abilities.

Nevertheless, I’m going with Drew McIntyre to retain because he just won the WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes, and he’s not the type of guy who wants to continue to have short reigns.

5. A Former Diva Makes an Appearance

When it comes to the Royal Rumble, one thing is almost always a certainty: who is making a return at the Rumble? Well, for me, I think a diva from the past will make a surprise appearance at the event. Maybe a Maryse? Perhaps a Victoria? We will see at the Rumble.

Will a former Diva make their special return at the Royal Rumble?
