2025 WWE Royal Rumble – 5 Predictions

Here are my five predictions on what could happen at the show. The Royal Rumble is going down this year in the great state of Indiana. The city? Indianapolis. The arena? Lucas Oil Stadium. It all happens on February 1, 2025, this weekend.

2025 WWE Royal Rumble – 5 Predictions cover

With 2025 just kicking off, we get the annual Royal Rumble event over at the WWE. This is when we jumpstart the road to WrestleMania, and where one person can find that golden ticket to Mania by winning the Royal Rumble match. This is also the event that is kickstarting John Cena’s farewell retirement tour, as he is planning on making the year 2025 the final one of his career. Here are my predictions of what may happen at the show.

Drew McIntyre Gets Some Redemption

This men’s Royal Rumble match is the most stacked it’s been in years, and so with that being said, good luck trying to pick the winner at the end of all the chaos. I can see Drew McIntyre going the distance, however, and winning the entire thing because he seems like he’s on a mission to prove that he is right about what has been going on in the WWE for months now. People like John Cena, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk will give him a challenge no doubt, but I think he will hold them off just enough to win the Royal Rumble match on the men’s side.

Charlotte Flair Wins the Rumble on Her Return

Charlotte has been out of action for months now trying to recover from injury. She was recently announced on SmackDown that she will make her long-awaited return to the WWE at the Royal Rumble where she will be one of the participants in the rumble match. Just like Drew McIntyre, I can see her coming back fully recharged and ready to win the entire thing thus heading to a championship match at WrestleMania. And who knows, we might even see a returning Becky Lynch at the Royal Rumble

Cody Rhodes Defeats Owens

The winner of the highly anticipated and highly polarizing match since the one involving McIntyre and Punk inside Hell in a Cell will see Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens fight in a ladder match at the Royal Rumble, for the WWE Undisputed Championship. Kevin Owens has been making a lot of sense lately at the political climate that is currently happening within the WWE, and even though he has a really good chance at winning, I’m going with Cody Rhodes to retain.

Kevin Owens is on a mission to capture the WWE Championship.

Motor City Machine Guns for the Win

A two out of three falls match will occur at the Royal Rumble between the Motor City Machine Guns and DIY for the tag team championship. Although both teams have been displaying their dominance to the WWE Universe as of late, I’m going with the Motor City Machine Guns to squeak out a victory. The Motor City Machine Guns are veterans in the industry at this point, and they recently captured tag team gold just like the current champions DIY did. The Motor City Machine Guns not only won the titles upon arriving in the WWE, but won them in quick fashion doing so within their first year in the company.

The Final Four Will Be…

Who I feel will be the last four athletes standing in the Men’s Royal Rumble match will be Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns. A lot of history between these guys. CM Punk is going to be looking at the man, Drew McIntyre, whom he defeated in a very bloody match at Hell in a Cell, and Roman Reigns hasn’t forgotten what Seth Rollins did to him at last year’s Royal Rumble when he helped cost him the championship in his match against Cody Rhodes. It was hard to leave John Cena out of the final four picture, but I think that these four have the most important heat between them than others on the current roster.

There you have it, my five predictions for WWE’s Royal Rumble.
