What We Know About Lords of the Fallen

The original Lords of the Fallen was released back in 2014 by Deck 13, and the reception was mixed. Hexworks is aiming to change opinions with the upcoming reboot and from what’s been shown it seems promising. Taking place more than a thousand years after the events of the first game. Lords of the Fallen introduces an all-new adventure in a vast, interconnected world, more than five times larger than the original game. Intergrated to the core of the combat is magic, melee, and ranged abilities that will aid you in your survival. Players are also equipped with a magical lantern, allowing travel between the two realms, Axiom and Umbral. The latter world acts as a puzzle-solving realm for your character, allowing players to resurrect themselves via an anchor point.

Lords of the Fallen has numerous magical abilities, all from three different schools of magic. These are tied to numerous gods within the story, with each one representing a different type of power. These schools are where you’ll draw your power for any playstyle you choose, and you will need to equip special catalysts in order to wield them. There’s an extensive class system with nine classes available from the start. Classes like the Blackfeather Ranger focus on ranged attacks with a bow, the Exiled Stalker is more for stealth aficionados, and if you are more of a jack of all trades then the Hallowed Knight is for you. Each class presents players with many tools for a great playstyle and with co-op, the combination of classes can bring a brilliant experience for new and old players of the soulsborne genre.
