Nier: Automata developer Platinum Games just announced a new IP in the works. This news was brought to us by studio producer Atsushi Inaba during the keynote at BitSummit. Inaba described the project as a "formless" game and left us without any further details than that. He did mention though that the game would have a new game director.
That is all we know for now. The latest game released by Platinum Games was the excellent Nier: Automata which released shortly after we learned of Scalebound's cancellation by Microsoft. What is clear though is that with other great hits such as Bayonetta and Vanquish, this Japanese developer is clearly talented. We will follow closely for any other details regarding this new IP as soon as they can be learned.

I didn’t play Vanquish, and more or less enjoyed Bayonetta 1 and 2. Just not my type of games, I guess, though I do want to try Nier.

Vanquish was very cool but short. Felt like a modern day arcade shooter in some regards. I should get around Nier at some point too.
