Though relatively quiet following the announcement of Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom at PlayStation Experience last year, developer Level-5's President Akihiro Hino was finally able to give a small update today via an interview with IGN Japan.
Translated, Hino explains that the game currently has the most people involved with it at the company since the first Ni No Kuni, and that it will be very large. Furthermore, he went on to mention that the minds behind the title are making sure that themes would be enjoyable by both adults and kids, like in a Studio Ghibli film.
With this year's PlayStation meeting, Tokyo Game Show, and PlayStation Experience all coming up, it would be interesting to see if we'll see new footage of the game before 2016's end. The title is currently known only to be developed for PlayStation 4.
