Anime World Matsuri and Anime Expo have announced the lineup for 2018's musical festival event.
Beginning on Wednesday, July 4 at 6:00 P.M., Love Live! fans will be able to music from Love Live! Sunshine!!'s Aqours group. Shortly after on Friday, July 6 at 7:00 P.M., Anime World Matsuri will launch its "Japan Super Live" event featuring the likes of Aimer from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, Yuki Kajiura from Fate/Zero, May'n from Restaurant to Another World, and Sanketsy-girl Sayuri from ERASED.
The very next day on Saturday, July 7 at 5:30 p.m., the festival will host "Japan Kawaii Live" feauring the likes of AKB48 Team 8, The [email protected] Cinderella Girls, Iris of Twin Star Exorcists, and Shoko Nakagawa of Gurren Lagann.
Tickets cost $60 for loge, $85 for orchestra, and $150 for VIP, the last of which includes priority entrance, VIP seating, and a "special goodbye" with the artists after the concert. It's quite worth the price of admission if my experience at Otakon last year serves as any indication.
Anime Expo 2018 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 5 to 8, with a pre-event show scheduled for July 4. We had the chance to go to the show last year – check out our impressions here.
