This year's Anime Expo sure packed a wallop on the gaming front. Jump Force, My Hero One's Justice, and Code Vein were all playable by eager fans on this year's show floor, each person hungry to learn every last morsel about the titles flickering before their eyes.

Unfortunately, not everyone can make it out to Los Angeles in time for the annual anime convention. Rest assured that we've got you covered, as previews for each game can be found below. Right off the bat, upcoming manga/anime brawler Jump Force sounds like the fitting culmination of 50 years of Japanese manga publication Weekly Shonen Jump. The game has a lot going for it in the form of an impressive cast of characters and a unique aesthetic. Unfortunately, the same can't be said of its core gameplay for now. The ultra-stylish, beautifully horrific, over-the-top artistry of Code Vein coveyed itself well to me during my brief hands-on time with the game at this year's Anime Expo. Though gameplay didn't impress me as much as I expected it to, the title is worthy of its comparisons to the Dark Souls franchise, if only for how Code Vein offers a challenge that seamlessly blends with its gothic anime aesthetic. This year's Anime Expo packed the heat – quite literally. Temperatures boiled above 100 degrees throughout the weekend during early afternoon hours as convention attendees braved the weather to consume as much Japanese entertainment as their minds could handle. It's suffice to say that the effort was well worth it, as the annual event continued to deliver what other gatherings across the country still hope to achieve. Read the full article here.
