Warframe Build Guide – Saryn

Warframe is a game that has one of the most versatile class and power-up systems across the board. You can literally find thousands of combinations of Warframe, weapons, and mods to really make the system your own. Today we put the spotlight on Saryn with our best build and a bit about how to play her the most effectively.

INTRODUCTION

All hail Saryn, the disease queen! Saryn is a Warframe that aged quite gracefully in the 5 years since she’s been released. The subject of numerous reworks and tweaks – she has always been an absolute powerhouse if modded properly but her gameplay promoted something that Digital Extremes wants to avoid – passive gameplay. The option to use her third ability – molt, to spread spores and kill enemies before even seeing them meant that many players left missions as soon as a Saryn was in the team composition. The following Saryn build uses her prime variant along with one prime mod to achieve the necessary stats but you can use other ones to emphasize the stats needed for the build to work.

Despite being nerfed multiple times, she’s still a beast, especially in certain mission types and it definitely feels like she finally cemented her place under the sun.

THE BUILD

This straightforward Saryn build focuses mainly on the usage of Saryn’s first ability: spores while the fourth ability, miasma is used to supplement their spread and deal more damage. It’s a 3 forma build that focuses on range, duration, and efficiency with some strength mods to compensate its reduction by other mods.

Since spores strip armor all by themselves, corrosive projection is not necessary and energy siphon is the preferable option since this Saryn build doesn’t feature any mods that increase the energy pool. Weapon synergy is also very important in this build and weapons moded for corrosion and viral are the preferable choice as are the ones that can hit as many enemies as possible. The viability of this build can also be further increased with the use of arcane energize or Zenurik’s energizing dash as you’ll be using abilities fairly often. Gameplay-wise, you want to keep your toxic lash active while casting spores and occasionally spreading them with miasma.

This Saryn build is ideal for sanctuary onslaught as you won’t run out of spores due to high enemy spawn rate so the disabling of miasma won’t affect the gameplay too much. No matter your mission of choice, the inability to use molt as a way to spread spores means that you need to keep moving and killing enemies in order to gather energy and spread spores.

Disclaimer: The build shown here might be out of date due to fairly frequent Warframe updates which rework certain aspects of Warframe abilities or mods used
