The NIS America online store just posted some new information on the next installment of the popular JRPG Ys franchise. For starters, upcoming Ys VIII: Lacrimosa Of Dana will be heading to the PS4, PS Vita and PC on September 12th of this year. The game will feature English audio as it seems to be fully localized for western audiences. Check out the trailer just below to get a glimpse of what's coming.
This new installment has you play the role of franchise protagonist Adol yet again. The relentless warrior has suffered a shipwreck and finds himself stranded on a mysterious island. The game features the series hallmark of real time lightning-fast combat with a brand new party of allies to aid you in battle. If you haven't played any of the previous installments that should not be a problem as Adol's adventures usually are stories closed within themselves. The wait should not be too bad for Falcom's newest JRPG.
