Six months after the reveal trailer, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition‘s launch date has been announced by Nintendo for May 29th. This is coming off the Nintendo Mini Direct they had earlier today. They revealed a trailer of Xenoblade Chronicles‘s original cut scenes, but completely redone in HD graphics.
Nintendo announced that the game will have updated graphics, improved battle HUD & menu, and remastered music tracks. It’ll also have an epilogue story featuring Shulk and Melia called Xenoblade Chronicles: Futures Connected. This is a completely new story for players to do after completing the main story.
Nintendo is putting a lot of effort into this remake, likely since Xenoblade Chronicles 2 sold pretty well. The series is also coming up on its 10-year anniversary. As the days leading up to the game come closer, Nintendo might reveal more details. Pre-orders have been made available as of today, as well. A possible demo release of the remake would let fans of the series get a good experience of what they can relive.
