Today, Xbox teased a crossover on Twitter with Netflix sensation Stranger Things. With Season 4 releasing very soon, it wasn’t a long shot to guess that collaborations would come back in full swing. The show doesn’t shy away from any opportunity to spread its Upside Down roots. Having already crossed over with the likes of SMITE, Far Cry 6, Dead by Daylight and even Fortnite, this is no surprise. Exactly what this teaser means, however, remains a mystery for now.

As shown above, this teaser doesn’t give away much, but it doesn’t have to. Could it be an entirely original video game created in collaboration with Netflix? Or is it the return of previously retracted Stranger Things content to Xbox platforms exclusively? Whatever the deal is, this is one you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for. It could be the very reason that Netflix began removing its licenses from the games stated above last year.
Although there is no clear indication as to when we will hear a proper announcement, it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that we’ll hear more in the upcoming Xbox showcase on June 12th.
