Xbox Game Pass: October’s First Half of Content

The Xbox Game Pass catalogue continues to grow with nine new additions announced for the first half of October, including numerous Day One releases, a highly anticipated horror experience, a sequel to an award-winning game, and more. We also know what will be leaving the service in the first half and what new perks Ultimate members receive.

It’s that time again, Xbox’s highly successful subscription service gets bigger and better. For the first half of October, we have nine games coming to Xbox Game Pass. Like most months it includes day one releases, classic games from Telltale, and a highly anticipated horror game. Alongside the additions, look at what’s leaving the service and what extra benefits Xbox Game Pass members can get in the first half of October.

The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (PC)

Eville (Console and PC)

Coming day one on Xbox Game Pass is a new multiplayer social deduction game, Eville, set in a village riddled with murders. Inspired by popular social-deduction party games such as Werewolves, this is a new take on the concept with real-time gameplay and interaction. Play as either a Villager or a Conspirator and do your deeds when no one is watching. Place wards to observe other players or tread through the village to visit any house and go on a killing spree. Use your unique role abilities to your advantage and make sure your team survives. Eville will be available with Xbox Game Pass on October 11.

Dyson Sphere Program (PC)

Announced during the Tokyo Game Show, Dyson Sphere Program comes to Xbox Game Pass on October 13. Dyson Sphere Program is a strategic space simulation game where you are tasked with creating the most efficient intergalactic factory. Harness the power of stars, collect resources, and plan and design production lines with the goal to develop your intergalactic factory from a small space workshop to a galaxy-wide industrial empire.

Scorn (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X/S)

Plunge into a new horror experience with Scorn coming day one on October 14 with Xbox Game Pass. Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion.

Scorn is modelled under the concept of “being thrown into the world”. Every location contains its own narrative theme, puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout Scorn, you will unlock new areas, and acquire different skill sets, weapons, and various items.

A Plague Tale: Requiem (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X/S)

Lastly, the final day one release of this half of the month is A Plague Tale: Requiem, coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 18. Continuing the story that A Plague Tale: Innocence began, Amicia and Hugo travel south after escaping their devastated homeland. Explore new regions and vibrant cities to start a new life and hopefully control Hugo’s curse.

However, when Hugo’s powers reawaken, death and destruction return in a flood of devouring rats. Forced to flee once more, the siblings place their hopes on a prophesized island that may hold the key to saving Hugo. Discover the cost of saving those you love, strike from the shadows or unleash hell overcoming foes and challenges with a variety of weapons, tools and unearthly powers.

In the first half of October, we will be getting content for Apex Legends, Need for Speed Heat and the new deduction multiplayer game, Eville. Coming to Apex Legends is the From Above Weapon Charm, upgrade your copy of Need For Speed Heat with the Deluxe Edition Upgrade Pack. In Eville, start the game right with the Housewarming Bundle, containing Acora outfits and items, be sneaky little Acora or run amok as the infamous Mr  Peterson. These perks will be available on October 11.
