Spencer then goes on to talk about how he is confident about the power of the Xbox Series X in relation to the PS5 saying the hardware advantages that the team at Microsoft have been building will “show up”. He continues saying he feels Xbox are in a “very good position” heading into launch later this year.
Ahead of the launch of the new consoles, Xbox had been the most upfront out of the gate. They talked about next-gen at E3 2019 detailing ‘Project Scarlett’ with the Xbox Series X officially revealed at The Game Awards last December with a look at the design of the console and exclusive tile Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.
The May event – the showcase of third-party games on Xbox Series X was disappointing with fans criticising the conglomerate for a lack of gameplay during the stream. Hopefully, July’s first-party showcase will be much better.
