Coming this year, FrostFall will bring us a whole new survival horror in which we will be immersed in an unforgiving world. The winter months can be tough enough. Coupled with the high risk of radiation poisoning and an emerging disease, surviving is going to be even trickier. Do whatever you can to survive the horrors that block your path.
While making your way out of the missile silo you pick up a radio transmission. The nuclear event clearly left some people alive. And one of them got in touch with you, willing to guide you to what is supposed to be last remaining human enclave…
Features
Environment: FrostFall aims to be as immersive as possible, bringing us realistic graphics just to make things extra scary. The weather system includes a day and night time cycle, and the seasons gradually change. Snow will fall and build up over time, melting as the temperature grows warmer.
Survival: We will have a lot to contend with in this frightening new world, from basic human needs to radiation, disease, and hypothermia. There will be lots of obstacles to overcome in order to survive, but at our disposal are hunting, fishing, camping, and cooking mechanics to master to keep us alive.
Skills: FrostFall offers a skill system to work with, and we can build it up by performing certain actions. Talents will also help to improve our characters and increase our chances of survival.
Exploration: At the heart of FrostFall is the exploration element. Hidden places contain small story details, and we will be able to unlock a customisable mobile base of operations that can be maintained and upgraded as we progress.
Corruption: The corruption poses threats and advantages not only to us, but to every living thing around us. What matters is how we deal with it. It will be challenging to control this new power, but it can be used to our advantage.
FrostFall will be out on PC (Steam) later this year.
