DEATH STRANDING SEQUEL WOULD BE DEVELOPED FROM SCRATCH
If there is ever such a thing as a Death Stranding sequel, it’s going to be a long wait. Talking to Vulture, Kojima revealed, if he was ever going to do one, he would be starting the development from scratch. While it remains uncertain what Kojima meant exactly it’s highly likely that this is due to Kojima’s developer mindset. He would most likely want to develop a game that’s very different than the first installment. It would still be set in the same world, but the mechanics, genres and everything else would take a radical turn – perhaps even becoming more of a shooter. It’s difficult to say what that crazy head has cooking but given Death Stranding’s success, we won’t have to wait a long time to find out. CASTLE IN THE DARKNESS SEQUEL IS COMING
Everyone loves a good Metroidvania, especially when it ticks all the right boxes on the nostalgia front. The original Castle in the Darkness was released in 2015 and was overshadowed by larger titles like Ori and the Blind Forest and Axiom Verge. The 2D sequel comes with eye-candy pixel visuals, fluid combat system and a kick-ass 8-bit soundtrack that gives all the right feels. PLAYSTATION GIVING UP ON HANDHELD
Those of you who’ve owned any portable console made by Sony will soon be a highly privileged group as Sony is no longer in the business of making them. This sad news comes directly from PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan who attributed the failure of PlayStation Vita to the rise of mobile gaming. Alas, PlayStation Vita didn’t offer enough high-quality exclusives that would entice people to buy the console. It’s always sad to see a piece of gaming history go, but Sony will hopefully divert the resources toward PlayStation 5 and make it a smash hit we are all expecting it to be. NEW BIOSHOCK GAME IS BEING DEVELOPED
It’s hard to believe that Bioshock Infinite released six years ago. Luckily, it seems like the IP is about to be revived and is in good hands. A new 2K studio named Cloud Chamber, consisting of veterans who’ve developed previous games in the franchise is finally making another game. President of 2K himself shared his enthusiasm for the continuation of the franchise which he called one of their most valuable properties.
