NINTENDO LABO VR REVEALED
Nintendo dropped a quiet bomb with the announcement that a new Nintendo Labo Kit was coming and it's something that's been painfully absent from the Nintendo hardware landscape – virtual reality. EA SKIPPING E3 2019
EA has had enough embarrassments during E3 so they decided to skip this year's event. What they'll do instead is hold their own EA PLAY conference the week before that will focus on live streams from content creators, hands-on first impressions with games and insight from the game developers. DISCLESS XBOX ONE S RUMORED
The current generation of consoles is slowly but surely coming to an end. The companies are using this last window of opportunity to push the last atoms of strength out of their hardware as well as some new, controversial ideas. One such rumor deals with Microsoft presumably soon planning to release a fully digital, discless Xbox One S console that will take full advantage of their cloud-based gaming as well as their Xbox Pass system.
APEX CONTINUES ITS METEORIC RISE
Apex Legends map being leaked a full year before its release was met with claims of it being fake and just another cookie-cutter battle royale game. Today, with the game surpassing 50 million active players – no one dares to call it that. Even the developers are dumbstruck by its meteoric rise and have fully committed to making it even better, even pushing their direct competitors to improve.
ANTHEM SUPPOSEDLY BRICKING PS4 CONSOLES
While Anthem was mostly met with good reactions regarding the core gameplay, its host of technical problems have made its launch nothing short of disastrous. What's more, new patches, while fixing some problems, have given rise to completely new ones. One such bug that appears on the PS4 version of the game is reported to crash and even completely break the consoles.
E-SPORTS DRESSES DESIGNED BY MEN ARE A THING
Gaming gear company Cranium Apparel announced a lineup of e-sports dresses in an effort to support the female gaming community. After being asked, the company revealed that not one woman was included in the design process. This coupled with the fact that the dress looks like it's made for a cheerleading team has lead to backlash and accusations of sexism.
