Valorant, one of the beloved 5v5 first-person shooter games, continues to improve its players’ experience with new updates. After releasing a new agent named Fade, the game is going to surprise its fans with a new map called Pearl, which is the first underwater map.
Developed and published by Riot Games, Valorant became one of the most popular and played FPS games from its initial release date. In fact, the game was loved so much that many players stopped playing League of Legends, Riot Games’ other big titles, and started to play Valorant.
Riot Games, on the other hand, keeps updating and bringing new features and characters to the game to keep this fan base happy. A few days ago, on June 16, Riot Games announced that a new underwater map called “Pearl” was coming to Valorant.
The history of this map is pretty attractive too. Due to climate change, a new city is being built by Kingdom Industries under the water. To reflect a city setting, there are several cafes, restaurants, and even a statue on Valorant‘s new map.
In addition, with the launch of the new map, Pearl, there are going to be changes to the Valorant‘s map pool. Currently, there are 7 maps in the Valorant, and there should be 8 after the launch of Pearl. But Riot Games decided to keep it at 7 by rotating Split out after talking to some professionals and surveying players.
Valorant announced the new map, Pearl, with a trailer below. It is also the first map that will come to Valorant since the game was released. Valorant‘s new map, Pearl, is expected to be released at the beginning of Episode 5, which is set to be released on June 22, 2022.

Hey, sorry to be that guy, but Pearl is most definitely not the first map to be released post-launch. Breeze, Fracture, and Pearl have all been released after Beta concluded. Good otherwise though!
