Sentinels will face off against Luminosity, while 100 Thieves face Immortals in the Valorant Masters tournament Friday, March 12th. Envy and FaZe Clan have already secured wins in the bracket; the two victors will face off on the 14th, as will the winners of today’s two matches. Gen G and XSET, having lost, will face off tomorrow in Lower Round 1.
In the Tour’s Qualifier stage earlier this year, Luminosity defeated Sentinels in overtime, while Immortals won first prize. Luminosity and Sentinels also faced off in the Winter Championship’s Grand Final, with the former narrowly taking the title.
Sentinels has been in the headlines as of late; the org and Riot Games suspended Jay “Sinatraa” Won after accusations of sexual abuse. Sinatraa’s team signed Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, former member of Cloud9’s Valorant roster, as a replacement.
100 Thieves, active in pop-culture relevant content on YouTube, signed the creator of Twitch dating show “Love or Host” AustinShow yesterday. Envy, meanwhile, recently received $40 million in investments, mainly from the media company Gray Television. FaZe Clan, also in the news, has cut ties with Miami Heat player and Warzone streamer Meyers Leonard for his use of a racial slur while streaming.
Sentinels vs Luminosity is scheduled for 3pm EST and Immortals vs 100 Thieves will be 5:30.
