According to the announcement blog written by Xbox head, Phil Spencer, pre-orders will start on the 22nd of September. Xbox All Access, the new Xbox financing scheme, will expand to 12 countries, offering customers one of the next-gen Xbox’s and 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at $24.99 a month with no upfront costs. Then as an unexpected bonus announcement, Spencer also added that EA Play, EA’s own subscription service, will be added to Game Pass Ultimate memberships at no extra cost. This means subscribers will have additional access to 60+ EA titles, including Madden, FIFA, Mass Effect, Battlefield and The Sims titles.
Spencer closed the announcement by re-summarising everything Xbox will be offering its players for the upcoming generation, saying “gaming has evolved in the last decade to make it easier, simpler and more affordable for any player to make that first connection with a new world, a new story, or a new friend. With a family of next-gen Xbox consoles, even greater variety and value with Xbox Game Pass, and an expansion to Xbox All Access, we invite everyone to join us for this next generation of gaming”.
