The Wheel of Time TV Trailer Is Here

Amazon Video’s highly anticipated TV adaptation of the fantasy novel series, The Wheel of Time, finally has a trailer. Starring Rosamund Pike as Moraine Damodred, The Wheel of Time looks to have the potential to be the next big hit from the Fantasy genre.

The Wheel of Time fans can finally rejoice, for the first trailer went live for all Dragonswore to gaze upon. The trailer starts with dreamy visuals of Emond’s Field and Egwene’s Accepted test. At the same time, Rosamund narrates with the iconic introduction, “The Wheel of Time turns and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become a legend.” In multiple cuts, we see Saidar being weaved by Aes Sedai, Moraine in particular. Also, fans will be delighted to get their first look at Rand, Mat, and Perrin, the three main characters of the series.

For viewers who aren’t familiar with The Wheel of Time, the first book, The Eye of the World, was released in 1990 and ended with the 14th installment in 2013. As of this year, The Wheel of Time has sold over 90 million copies worldwide, making for one of the best-selling epic fantasy series ever. The story follows a teenage sheepherder named Rand Al’Thor, and his friends from his hometown.

During a time of festivity, a mysterious witch named Moraine visits their town and has everyone abuzz. But an unthinkable threat thought to only be in fairy tales reveals itself, and Moraine claims it wants Rand. Thus, Rand and his friends are forced to follow a witch he just met and flee the only place he’s ever known.

The Wheel of Time launches on Amazon Prime on November 19th, in which the first three episodes will be available to watch—then leading to weekly episodes until the season is complete. It’s already been confirmed that there’s a second trailer in the works. Let’s hope the Light wills it sooner rather than later!
