The Nintendo eShop is currently holding a massive digital sale, the Nintendo Blockbuster Sale! The scope of the sale makes it comparable to the infamous Steam Summer Sale that clears out gamers’ wallets every summer. Nintendo is notorious for its extremely expensive games that barely decrease in price over time. This is why sales like this are a massive deal and a brilliant way to get your hands on some of those big Nintendo games that were just a tad too much. Many games are up to 75% off until the sale ends on the 3rd of October.
Unfortunately, this only applies to digital purchases, which is a shame for people who prefer physical games, but the price right now is worth it. Interestingly, the games on sale seem to change depending on the region. The sale going on right now in the US only has 26 games discounted, mostly featuring third-party titles. In Europe however, there are well over 200 titles on sale, including first-party titles such as Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
Of course, new games such as WarioWare: Get It Together are still full price, as are some of Nintendo’s other first-party games, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. There are ten pages worth of games available, but luckily there is a detailed filtering system so that you can find exactly what you want. You can tick which specific game series you want, the genres, features, price, multiplayer, and much more.
