A listing for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Switch appeared on Amazon UK.Â
As of yet, the game has not been confirmed to be coming to the portable console by Nintendo. This has led many fans of the Zelda franchise to wonder if this listing was put up too early ahead of an announcement. Originally spotted by The Mirror, the page on Amazon’s site has been taken down after it gained a lot of buzz online. However, when it was live the game had a placeholder date of January 1, 2030, and Amazon were taking pre-orders for £70. Thanks to GamesRadar+, we have a screenshot of what that page looked like:
Obviously nothing is set in stone when it comes to listings like these, but this isn’t the first time this has happened. More recently, a listing for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered also appeared on Amazon UK. It gained equal speculation as to whether Amazon may have accidentally given the public information that was to be announced. Additionally, Amazon may have also given us an idea of what price we can expect for the PS5 as well as possible PS5 titles.
We’ll have to wait to see if Nintendo will make an official announcement for the 2011 entry to the Zelda franchise. Do you reckon this listing has leaked the fact the game will be coming to the Switch? Let us know what other Zelda titles you’d like to see come to the console!
