2D Fighter hit King of Fighters '99 is set to join the ever growing library of the Nintendo Switch. The SNK title will launch today on the eShop. This will be the ACA NeoGeo version concretely. It will cost around $8.00 and the version will include all the contents of the original game plus the added "Striker mode." This is the latest in a wave of classic ACA NeoGeo games coming to consoles.
For the Nintendo Switch, it should become a much needed fighter to add to the select few fighting titles available currently on the console. For those new to the series, the King of Fighters is a fighting game series whose latest entry King of Fighters XIV released on the PS4 and PC last year. It is one of the longest running 2D fighting game series around together with Street Fighter. This version allows to select a three character team to use for fights with a fourth member acting as a striker who is summoned by the other characters in order to perform special moves against opponents.
